I would weave blocks of seating “fabric” one at a time, leaving loops around the edges. Heat-Shrink them. Then bind the blocks to each other and to the chair by lashing through the loops. This way you get an even product and the shrinking process doesn’t warp the chair frame.

Hi, I just finished my bottle cutter, following your blueprints. Thank you for your efforts and the great ideas. I enhanced the cutter by cutting a screw with the length of the bottel cutter (ca. 23cm each) and added a slot into the wooden inlays. Now, I can store the bottle holder in the cutter and hence it is easy to transport.

I think the idea is FANTASTIC! Remember though, I've worked with polyurethane for 25 years and although it holds its strength for long periods, when subjected to sunlight it starts to break down quickly. Especially in heat and sun together. Oil is polliurathanes important content and oil does actually break down and dry out. Perfect idea though for millions of applications.

What an amazing invention, that bottlecutter. Even to think of it, but as it then turns out not only that the rope or string produced are viable as such and truely gives discarded plastic bottles a long, new life in a wide range of uses, but also that this rope has properties *beyond* normal rope specially crafted for a purpose (say parachord to tie rafters) is simply just pure treasure on top a stroke of genius. They need this contraption in the third world, and you can supply them with it, making their lifes easier as well as initiating the single best shot at cleaning up nature of plastics on a large scale.
