Pixar is known for making great family films, but some people have really examined the stories and content to find things that are much darker. It’s time to look back on your fond childhood memories of the Toy Story franchise and showcase some of the darker things you may have never realized.
Sid is often viewed as the villain of the first Toy Story film, but he may not have truly been evil. Sid obviously lives in a dysfunctional family and it’s neglect that has turned him the way he is. In the original Toy Story, if you take a look at Andy’s friends, they are not actually any different at all. They are all clones of the original Andy. Toy Story 3 has been connected to a lot of crazy things, including the Illuminati. Toy Story represented a huge change to the company at the time and the characters of Buzz and Woody both represent these crazy changes. Andy’s father is never mentioned or seen in the Toy Story films, but there have been multiple mentions that he has died and is not in the picture. Andy and his sister, Molly are obsessed with people who are obsessed with material things. The films showcase a lot of marxism because of this. The toys are obviously dedicated to Andy, but there are rumors that the toys are actually immortal and only die if they are crushed or burned. Jesse’s true owner may have been a character you knew the whole time. Toy Story has also been connected to many different things including the holocaust and the Walking Dead.

The ending of Toy Story 3 the part when Andy leaves Woody at the girl’s house and Woody says “So long, partner” was one of the saddest scenes ever for us 90’s/early 200’s kids because we watched the original Toy story when we were little. I felt like that part won’t hit the same way to kids who watch toy story nowadays versus us. It was like a scene that signified the ending of (not only Andy’s) but our childhood as well.

He wasnt really a bad kid. He was just a boy with a rough childhood who needed to find a way to cope. He didnt know the toys were alive. Even though the toys SCARED HIM FOR LIFE! he had a promising future as a neurosurgeon and gave it up to save toys lives

well the handwriting difference between the one on woody's foot and buzz's foot is probably because andy got woody when he was really young. and now he got buzz at an older age, and his handwriting changed. just like mine does all the time (every year I guess)

Nah I have a theory further in the book Mans Search For Meaning I read he mentions that there were prisoners who would be appointed by SS guards to be higher than the other prisoners, punish them harshly and report their actions. Nobody is hitler but Sid is comparable to the gas chamber guard “Ivan the terrible” and the nursery they are taken to they are promised a better life but it becomes apparent as soon as they get on the cramped train this is not the life they were looking for being tested on. Using unethical experiments and being dehumanised that’s my theory

This may be silly, but I also noticed that Buzz Lightyear shares some similarities with Don Quixote. Buzz Lightyear was certain he was a space commander, while Quixote swore he was a knight. Moreover, Buzz realized he was a toy when he saw a commercial featuring his toy model, while Don Quixote had a similar realization when he found a book depicting his adventures.

The dad owning Woody and the mom owning Jessie makes the theories that much more plausible. They would have grown up in the same time period. They were collectibles by the time Andy had Woody. The parents would have grown up with the cartoon and possibly gotten the dolls in their youth.

Ok, when Andy wrote his name on woodys boot, he might not have known how to spell then, since he had owned woody before he owned buzz, probably years before. When he got buzz, however, he had probably learned the proper way to write an "n" because he was older then.

That makes sense. Andy appears to be around 7 or 8, maybe 9. Toy Story was released in 1995. This means that Andy was born in the late 80s. Color TV did exist by then. Meanwhile, the Woody TV show was in black and white. The show was likely cancelled during the 60s. This probably was when Andy's dad was a kid! So it's even more likely that Woody belonged to Andy's dad originally, before being passed down.

Sid doesn't attach toys to the front of the truck he drives, you're mistaking him with another guy. Sid does make an appearance as a trash collector in Toy Story 3, but he wasn't the one that picks up Lotso, and attaches him to the front of the truck.

the only problem i have with jessie having belonged to andys mom is that neither of them in any way acknowledge a past with one another,i.e jessie doesnt say hey she looks familiar,andys mom doesnt say hey i think i used to have that toy,but i really like that theory.

Jeditilifall well Jessie last saw Emily when she was in her early teens so maybe she didn't recognize her as a mid thirties-early forties adult. The mom may have but just never got shown on screen. Not saying it's all true but could explain why.
