I just found your channel, and, I am Loving it. I also, Love Japanese Fashion! As a former Fashion Model in Paris, waaaay, back in the day. Like a Male Model, we Had to fit a size 40 Regular. Then the Japanese hit Paris in the 1980s, and those of us, who "moved" over to the Japanese found we had to Lose weight. I Modeled for Yohji Yamamoto, Matsuda, Kansai Yamamoto, and of course Commes! Kansai was my Most Fave! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for showing and telling us where to get the stuff! Cant recall if you've been doing this or just started, but its appreciated. Anyone know if when he mentions yahoo auction, he means People in the states can buy from there too? Or is that more of a local only thing. I know yahoo is big in Japan, but does that work for Westerners too? Or does it depend on the seller if they wanna ship internationally?

Yah Nude is sold in Shinsaibashi. Good little store nice staff. Picked up a few pieces. Also Kyoto I believe have a store. I’m really into a brand in Kyoto right now. Rainmaker Kyoto is pretty dope.

I went to Japan for the RWC and accidentally stumbled upon Legenda in Harajuku, fortunately for me they just released their Neon Genesis Evangelion capsule so I picked up a couple pieces (plus their normal stuff) took me by surprise when they were first on the list, thought I may never hear about them anywhere but now I feel ahead of the curve haha

Everyone is shipping these days (i wonder how hard that was to do before) so it's nice that the doors have open a bit more. Sizing will be a an issue till the end of time though. 😭 Facts on the Ground Y commit though - gotta go all in that.

I don’t know if it’s related a lot, but where’s a good place to get large quality back patches like the one at 2:09? Not saying that this one in particular is a patch but I’ve been looking for good place to get good patches to add to suits/jackets to mimic those high end designers. Band patches is pretty easy to get, but nice designs like with that Japanese woman or patches in similar style is hard to find.

Let me know if you find a good source for them. I have an oversized long army field jacket that I need some nice patches for. Ones that resemble embroidery, and less like iron on hot topic patches.

Some seasons of Rick Owens is probably your best bet. Et Al are a good Yohji equivalent but they're Australian.

ANEI looks dope but united-arrows has such a small selection and the import fees would probably blow a hole into my wallet so I'll have to skip for now - however I am thankful for putting these brands out there for people (like me) that weren't in the know

The problem with weebism is that the more you try to deny it the worse it becomes. Obviously every single culture under the sun has its cool unique aspects when it comes to aesthetics but I've accepted that the Japanese just have a monopoly on everything I find cool so denial is pointless. That said I still enjoy tasteful wears inspired by "non American" cultures in general, personally enjoy middle eastern design influences and classical Mexican patterns that I thankfully can wear without treading the line of appropriation, problem is in comparison there's less brands working with those aesthetics in mind so naturally I gravitate towards the easier more "exotic" stuff. Feels bad but it is what it is
