I never realized how 80s traditional metal sounding many of their riffs are.

How simple these riffs are is a testament to Darkthrone's greatness. These songs are all iconic and stick in your heard forever yet no one else came up with them.

In The Shadows of the Horns is one of the greatest Darkthrone songs. They seem to sound even better when slowing the tempo.

The opening track on Hate Them, Rust is super simple and yet groovy and atmospheric.

Darkthrone is surely one of the bands that ever existed

Maybe you can help me a tad. I am confused when it comes to black metal tuning. Like when I was younger and was learning Venom songs it was eazy to tell it was either D or C#. But with Mayhem, Burzum, Dark Throne, Dimmu, Cradle Of Filth, Bathory. The tuning just baffles me.

How my cord Abramelin band is not easy for some people...
