MATTDOMINANCE Question regarding your Hair Transplant. When it grows in fully, do you know if all FUE Transplants grow upwards and stick up all the time or will eventually it be normal like my actual hair and go downwards towards my eyes? Does it depend on your hair type? My hair was always been fine and never been styled, it's not too thin but not thick either, you can just about get away from notcing it being thin on my front area but my hairline has receded. When my hair is long it can just about reach a few CM above my eyes (being thin at that far away from the folical you can see through it). What my question is, with a FUE Transplant when its grown in properly, will it act like that hair and go down towards my eyes the same or is it just going to stick up?

It is effective on HL I’ve been using it topically and getting great results with just 0.25 mg diluted in 2ml stemoxidine (L’Oréal product like minox)

I've been on finasteride for past 4 and half months. I got a lot of pimples and spots on my face now... Everyday I get a new spot whilst another eventually disappears. It's Hella annoying though. Did anyone else experience this? I'm also getting a bit of face bloat but I don't know if fin is the cause or not

1mg 6 months, no side effects. But sadly no regrowth on the hairline, it remained the same. I think my crown is partially filled out thou. Did experience major shedding for the first 3 months but by 6th month everything was back to baseline with my crown being more full

4 months now. 1mg/day. Had side effects at 6 weeks in and they lasted for about 2 weeks (mainly libido, maybe very Mild ED but honestly could have been a nocebo). They went away and has been great ever since! Hair is doing well. Noticing a bit regrowth already. But also thickening of the existing strands of hair.

An important question, in the last study were men taking 1mg or 5mg of finasteride? All the doctors I have met said me to take only 1mg.

yeah, the study was done on men with BPH (enlarged prostate) not male patter baldness. They were just observing side effects. No doctor would recommend you fin 5mg to treat hair loss as it is pretty risky

I have been using minoxidil for almost 2 years but sheding happens always may be 3-4 months even after using it regularly. So I recently added finasteride 1.25mg every alternative days. I want to quit minoxidil. So the condition wrosen or remain stable only due to use of finasteride only?

for some facts you reference some studies then show us that the studies arenot accurate and then show another study , for the last study were we sure that the patients did not consume any other medications or was there any factor to consider ?

They're minimal. Ive been on for a while, they may occur in the first few months. But your body adjusts to it. I personally experienced a sudden and severe drop in libido which basically rendered me asexual lol ... lasted a few weeks and things slowly progressed back to "normal" libido levels. The benefits on hair were noticed within 2 months! The majority of sides with finasteride are managable and transient. For me, it was definately worth it for the significant hair improvements.

@@generalkai2417 its been proven that semen retention can increase testosterone by about 100% in 7 days so that could definitely be of some help. Same with Zinc and other supplements they can definitely increase T which in turn increases libido. The most important thing really is to just eat well and stay fit. Men with higher body fat % will see significantly increased levels of estradiol which does negatively impact libido. Dropping body fat from around 25% to 12% can see about a 40-60% decrease in estradiol!

Matt I would love to know if you have considered taking that medication. I have been using minoxidil with no side effects but still continuing to shed and have fine hair... I'm really considering taking finasteride but I'd love to know if it's helped at all for you if you're on it. I'm noticing more and more thinning where I had my fue done on my frontal hairline.

been on 1mg for i would say around 7 years now and used minoxidil for around 5 years in liquid form but was just a nuisance to do so i now take the finasteride 1mg and 1mg minoxidil oral and no hair loss in the 7 years plus grew back i would say around 20% of what i lost

I don´t think so man. You lose plenty of important minerals and vitamins in your urine....Urine is excluded in much higher volumes as opposed to semen...Does this mean you should avoid peeing?

@@denniero6904 I believe you but it's not nutrients in semen, it's PROLACTIN release . prolactin is a stress thats harder to get rid of compare to cortisol. It causes you to lose hair cause after DHT stress is the 2nd thing that makes you lose you hair if you have the baldness genes.

There is an ongoing lawsuit against Merck. The FDA have recieved thousands of complaints regarding Finasteride potential side effects. I would have been very cautious to take Finasteride, at least untill things will get clearified in court.

Been on Finasteride 1mg for 3 years. I've had a fair bit of regrowth and it has so far halted my hairloss. I guess I'm at Norwood 2 - 2.5, but with a solid crown. Also had zero side effects

Hey, I am almost 20 and unfortunately I am experiencing diffusing in the hairline up to the middle of the top of my scalp. I am in a relationship, so sexual side effects would be a much bigger issue than losing my hair. Is it worth it or is the risk of side effects too big? I would love to keep my hair, but libido and impotence issues are a bigger issue.

Jack Burt I wouldn’t risk it at such a young age plus your in a relationship, Try Derma rolling twice a week and applying minox 24hrs after, seems to work better than anything else available, Prp also works good for some people but expensive

I had better Results with Regrowth with 9 months of Dutasteride- Avodart than Finesteride ( after 1 year of trying it.) It is not approved for Hair loss in the USA but I am told other countries do approve it for Hair loss. Not sure which ones though.. At 9 months now and I am seeing some regrowth and thickening. Will stick with the Program before I have another Transplant. Very Poor- little area of Donor left now so not sure it will give me what I want.

Been on finasteride 1.25 mg for 14 years with no side effects. No regrowth but it did significantly slow my hair loss for the first 9 years. Doctor said I may be becoming somewhat immune to it now so take 2.5 mg daily and no sideffects.

Ideally: you visit a hair transplant doctor or dermatologist so they can tell you if it would be safe to put you on Finasteride. You can also ask them about saw palmetto. My opinion: I would start minoxidil and derma rolling in case you are worried to start with finasteride right now or maybe you are too young and worried about side effects...I dont know. But be aware, once you decide to stop using minoxidil you better be on Finasteride already by that time, because if you stop minox your hair can start falling out pretty fast if there is no potent DHT blocker you taking orally like 1mg Fin.

Shayan Sh did you have your blood tested? If no, you should do it asap. Talk with a doctor about your hairloss. And wait for the result of the blood test. It will give you the answer why you are losing your hair. Its not always dht. If not, youre the lucky guy

Can I just say thanks for a seemingly objective view on the matter. I don’t believe that people who experienced sides are in the 1% because it does seem more common than that due to anecdotal evidence I am reading online. What a hard decision for a 27 years old with long hair to my shoulders with only a tiny bit of crown thinning. Like someone said here damned if I do damned if I don’t. I will consult a doctor and possibly go forward knowing the risks.

He gave me minoxidil, some multivitamins and vitamin D 40,000( bcz I had a vitamin D level test and it turns out I'm so low on Vitamin D. I have 2.8 of Vitamin-D 25 (OH). Sufficient is 30-100.

You can also accept your hair loss like me. For men its normal to lose your hair. I am 38 and bald, had a hard time to accept it in the beginning. But I had to accept it. I never had problems in relation to dates and girls and I get compliments how good I look bald. Got a beautiful nowadays wife as well. Trust me, in the end its not about your hair. Confidence and communication is what for most women is way more important than hair on your head.

So when they do regular studies it is 1.8% in side effects, but when they have 2 groups and one of them is not informed they have 14.3% for non informed group. Shouldn't non informed group report 1.8% side effects in line with other studies? Sounds like a cherry picking for this paid promotion.
