Yea agree completely. He was decorating with a picture of moths (at first I thought it was butterflies 😁) in a room. I thought, Wow, I love that picture. Then a little later I found that same pic on Lone Fox shop which I'd just found out about. I bought the Moth poster and a frame to suit and now have it in my hall. 😍 Love it. 😀

me, me, me,!!!!! I'm in woodlands tx then I am talking to my sister who lives in Manhattan beach CA, about who she likes on instagram and who she follows here on YT, anyway we both begin gushing about how much we love him and his designs diy etc. I'm flying out end of this year to LA and helping her decorate her apt with inspirations from Drew and his sites:)

Love them!!! Especially his attitude towards decorating and how you can have trendy decor on a budget with a little bit of creativity and effort. He makes decorating fun and accessible which I adore!

I’d like to expand on the rule of three, I’m a degreed designer. The rule of three also applies to amount and saturation of hues. Example: 70ish percent of your room should be very low saturation of one of your colors. 25ish percent should be a different color, maybe higher saturation of your primary color. The third should be about 5 percent of something WOW, that will pop. A small area or areas with a high saturation that you can use to move the eye around the room. If you have a more monotone palette, it’s all about texture. I love you Drew!

Thank you so much for this info! I tend to love high saturation colors, but my space isn't restful. I think I'll be able to fix that now by increasing (drastically!) the amount of lower saturation color in my apartment. Yay!

kim mcdonald hi! I think that any of the rugs with teal in it would be nice. It depends on the feel you want. The abstract one is more on the contemporary side. The others are traditional. All would be beautiful. I’d go a very light gray on the walls. I would keep that teal as your 5% of pop. I wouldn’t add any more than the headboard, rug and maybe one small vase of the teal.

I respect and appreciate that you don't want to "shove" your business page onto people. Not reminding people all the time makes you unique. Love your videos & your merchandise. As someone married to someone who’s worked in the stone business for over 22 years, I just wanted to say that the “black marble” cutting board is actually soapstone. Just as beautiful and durable as actual marble but the nice thing about soapstone is if you scratch it, it can be gently sanded to restore its beauty. It’s one of my favorite natural stones.

Another designer weighing in here!: While the gallery wall is an excellent idea for a large wall space (think over a sofa), a composition of just 2-3 same size pieces is often easier. So, for example, if you want to fill 60" of horizontal space over an 84" sofa and don't have a 60" wide piece, you can use to 28" wide vertical pieces, leaving 4" between the two. The math is adjusted accordingly if using three vertical pieces.

Because of this video, I went and jumped into buying my living room sectional olive green 😱 I was so scared at first but omg is it just the most perfect tone and pop of color 😍 I went and added navy blue pillows (YES NAVY BLUE) with some other beige woven ones AND terracote/burnt orange pillows. It sounds a bit too much, a bit insane but everyone's loving it so much. It is currently my favorite room in the entire house!!!! Thank you so much Drew. I would've never dare my self to step out of my neutrals in such a huge way!!

Fantastic video. Seeing your blue dining room with the blue trim was just the inspiration I needed. We had ours painted a lovely shade of navy but kept the trim white. I just kept getting this nautical vibe that I really didn't want. But your dining room that was all navy was such a VIBE. Going to try that ASAP.

Yes to the spray paint! I've been changing up some thrift store vases with spray paint and baking powder paint. It's so inexpensive but so fun!

Gotten into diying a lot more lately, to the point where I was cleaning up my room and the box that my mouse came in, the one half was such a nice and solid box perfect as like a little tray so instead of throwing it away I spray painted it gold and put my little gold cat ring holder in the corner and now I store all my rings in it!

I think one of the challenges is when things are aesthetically perfect but they don’t work for your home. I have a husky that sheds like crazy on a daily basis. I have 2 specific pet vacuums. So it’s more practical for me to not have a rug in the bedroom. Would love some tips on how to decorate around this issue. Love ur channel!!

I have an air conditioner on the window's wall, so the curtains are hung right above the window, and right under it is my bed, so the curtains are short haha but 5:16 shoot... I've looked at your shop before now, and always admired how everything you sell is completely curated and truly are items you own and use in your own spaces. I would totally be shopping from your store if I was in the US! never feel guilty for promoting your shop, I can probably speak for many people here by saying we love supporting your career whether its through a like and a view, or a purchase from your store.
