Because it was an accident, no malice involved, and both knew he deserved it. You have to be a special kind of petty in the business to screw up, know you screwed up, and not be willing to accept your punishment like a man and move on. Im sure there are a few guys out there with stories about that to tell, thankfully they are the minority. This is a serious business with lives on the line, accidents can kill, so a reminder to not get sloppy is needed sometimes. :p

I like that receipt on Kofi. He paid back an accident with what was, admittedly, a thunderous slap, but wasn't a potentially long term injury like an unprotected chair shot. Slowing a young guy down is one thing, purposefully contributing to potential CTE is another.

That's kinda what I was thinking about some of these. Paying a guy back for being reckless is one thing, giving someone a concussion that could easily have longterm consequences is something else, except the JBL one. JBL got what he deserved.
@ChadTower
@ChadTower 2 жыл бұрын
There is that point but also what is Kofi really going to do to the Big Show with a dropkick? This is more like putting a young guy in his place than a receipt. Yeah, he got Show in the chin, but Show outweighs him by like 200lb. So anything more than a painful slap would be overkill.

Same, though I have mixed feelings. A deliberate and possibly injury causing attack as "payback" for a botched shot, I dunno, feels wrong. Fine, if the guy was known for being reckless and endangering fellow wrestlers, like Mabel, I can understand there is a point where action needs to be taken. But most of these examples were effectively accidents which were retaliated deliberately. Not cool.
