The longer MHJ talked the more she lost all credibility with me. I live in the US and have spent decades listening to our politicians gaslighting the public. One of the first things you learn as a manipulator is to know your audience. She used key words and phrases to get the Korean people especially the fans on her side. Why talk about killing yourself? Was it because of the suicidal tendencies of Korean entertainers that are under public pressure? Why talk about other KPOP groups? Is that to stir up the fandoms and cause fan wars? The majority of KPOP fans are young and have never worked or worked in a corporation, they based their decisions on how something makes them feel not on facts. What I just listed will get MHJ sympathy from her targeted audience. But she still didn’t answer the charges that are against her. Her act of poor under appreciated woman working with difficult men fell flat when it was revealed how much she actually makes. When she goes to court she will need a better defense with proof if she hopes to win against HYBE. Another thing that bothered me was she wants to take all the credit for NJ success but she never mentioned their music. Singers aren’t successful because of their concept they are successful due to their music. There are tons of groups with awesome concepts that have not been successful because their music didn’t find an audience to propel them to the next level. As a woman in SK she was given the keys to the kingdom, and this is how she handled things. She just made it harder for other women to climb the corporate ladder in a male dominated space.

That's an excellent way to sway the emotions of those who want to vilify Hybe and Bang Si Hyuk. She should have been an actress, because her acting skills are on point. I agree with this analysis. As a retired therapist, I have seen these tactics played out many times. I’ve even seen it in my own family. Usually when they have been caught doing something shady and are struggling to save themselves. Believe me, if she had enough sense to put this plot together, she has enough sense to manipulate people.

One of the thing that HYBE is so consistent even when they were in fight with SM and Kakao is that they answer and address the public in a professional way. In a way that they really don't care if you're on their side or not. They do things legally (with evidence of course)... And with this issue yes they may be on the disadvantage with the public opinion but in the end if Miss Min is proven guilty in the Court then that's all they really care about.

I can't believe netizens fell for it even though she was bad at acting. She was dressed and had no makeup on to gain sympathy, which was copied from dramas that I watched. Full disclosure- I don’t speak or read Korean. I did not buy Min’s press conference performance at all. Her body language and behaviour spoke volumes and then to find out she is the highest paid officer in the conglomerate. I feel sorry for her lawyers. The saddest thing is illit, and New Jeans, who is caught in the middle, she has tried her best to stir hate against illit. I am finding this scandal very entertaining. As an outsider, American, I can see the parallels with our political scandals. There are some people who are vulnerable to manipulation because it reinforces their own narrative and biases; some large shadowy group is controlling things and we are constantly under threat from "them". Koreans are the same in that they make a villain of the company and support someone they see as a victim and one of the exploited. I just can't see a millionaire CEO as one of the exploited victims in this case. Who is being hurt are the artists and fans.

What she wanted all along was her own music company, but she didn’t want the trouble and expense of creating it herself, so she got this big company to make it for her and planned to take it from them. I read an interview with her in 2022 where she denied that hybe should get any credit for ador because “it was all her idea and she could have got investment from anyone”. That’s how she sees it - even though she was brought in as an employee to create a gg for them. It seems as if somewhere in the process of making a gg, she demanded her own label, and the company appeased her by giving it to her - but with the condition that they own 100% because they were doing all the funding (about $11M worth), but included an option for her to buy in later. And this percentage is what she’s been wrangling with them about; she even talks about it in her press conference. She wants more - because it was always about getting her own company. But why would they give her all this? My guess is that they didn’t want to lose the huge investment in time and money they had already made in scouting and training the artists for years, and also in scouting her - after all they needed a top girl group and they’d hired her for her talent to make it. But in setting up ador, it delayed the planned gg (nwjns), and source music suffered and they needed to give them a source of income - another gg (lsf) which they put together very hurriedly. Obviously, she was enraged at lsf because she did not want competition, she wanted to be hailed as the creative genius behind hybe’s only gg and “bts’s sister group”. That’s why she’s also enraged at illit. I don’t think it’s only about money for her - it’s also power, control, and ego. She’s a narcissist who believes she is a unique creative genius and should be given anything she wants and also given lots of prestige and credit for her genius. This is why she inserts herself as the main character in everything nwjns does. It’s really sad that the Korean general public and many news outlets have fallen for her antics and support her victim narrative. Anyone who’s read her old interviews would know what her intentions and attitude have been from the start. She’s incredibly dangerous.

Yes. I've been wondering how come people believe that project 1945 was just a doodle/memo? Really? If i am an employee, i wouldn't even think of doing that... most especially in my company's device + i also noticed her contradicting statements. Which makes me wonder: 1. her career is busted, 2. this tabloid scandal she created wasn't necessary and isn't going to help her legally and 3. she is dropping famous names to attract more attention. Could one of her aim be to tank the shares' value because her financial backers or someone else can still benefit from this chaos - and be grateful later? SHE CALLED THE PC why would you show up that way...because she wanted to. She wanted people to see her that way to evoke sympathy, empathy and pity. Yeah, watched about 20 minutes and couldn't watch any more.

She reminds me of Amber Heard. The narcissism along with the theatrics, fake tears, and the inability to keep up with her own lies. Amber Heard even took advantage of the Me Too movement, just as MHJ is now in a way taking advantage of the 4B movement in Korea. Thank you for this very objective analysis. I remember all those fallacies from my argumentation class in philosophy in University. It has helped me so much through life and in making sense of a lot of discourse on social media. One thing I would say about MHJ that I think you may be reluctant to express is how she appears to be very narcissistic. Everything was about how it affects her. I believe her greatest issue with her relationship with Hybe is that she is not the One in charge of all of their GG! She joined Hybe because Bang Sihyuk said he needed someone to create a GG for them. I think she had the impression that her group should be prioritized above all...she was upset when Lesserafim became Hybes first GG and now when she sees that Hupybe allowed another company to create a competition gg or a copy cat GG. She really can’t complain about any mistreatment because NJ was very privileged from the start...so it’s about the fact that Hybe is not putting her and her group on a pedestal and coordinating all other groups around their needs. I also hope that the girls and their parents would be careful in making any decisions right now. I’m sure she has treated them in a way that they would feel like she is the only one on their side. We would never know what she has told NJ about Hybe.

Personally, I think both sides have some shady stuff going on. That said, I can't get over the irony of so many people in the comments saying MHJ is an innocent because look at HYBE with their media play. Meanwhile, the very video they're commenting on addresses the tactic of using a red herring. The lack of self awareness is just sad. I am a 0.1% Korean who has lived in Korea since birth. 99.9 percent of Koreans are on Min Hee-jin's side. I think Min is not talking about facts, but buying emotions. It is so stupid and pathetic for Koreans to be instigated by something provocative.

After making use of Hybe's facilities and people, she is talking ill about the company.

Yeah never believed her 🤷‍♀️… can’t believe ppl are believing for her act… I also don’t understand the hate to BangPd….i won’t even take anyone seriously when they say this unless there is concrete evidence, which there isn’t. Is he perfect? No, but not bad or evil. She did say she wanted BTS gone so what is the best way to do that that? Taint their company & founder…so easy to see through it.
