As the legend goes (and this has never been verified), after their problems on the set of The Lords of Flatbush, Richard Gere started slagging off Sylvester Stallone to producers, studio executives, casting directors, etc. in order to damage his careeer. When Stallone caught wind of this, he retaliated by spreading a rumor about Gere... And thus began the urban legend about Richard Gere and the gerbil that still exists to this day!

I mean to be fair Wesley Snipes pissed off everyone in that movie. The issues wasn’t really snipes and Reynolds, it was snipes and everyone else. Read about it, Snipes was high every day on set, only communicated with the director via post it notes meaning that the director shot everything needing snipes face as quickly as possible, then banned him from set and used his stunt double for everything else. As a result snipes is actually only in a tiny amount of that movie and all the cast refused to work with him again.

Eddie Murphy didn't really mean to attack director John Landis. That's was just a hoax. I felt bummed down that the two are no longer friends. John Landis did not do anything wrong or on purpose. Even behind the scenes of the set of the disaster, in Twilight Zone The Movie. He wasn't really being negligent. Mr. John Landis, was only trying to good for society. And was wanted to do things right.
@ZiddersRooFurry10 ай бұрын
@@javib2978 "Landis and a number of others were acquitted of manslaughter but if you read the details of the accident then it's pretty clear that gross negligence was involved. Nutshell version: The two little girls that died were on the set illegally (California's child labor laws didn't allow child actors to work at night) and Landis didn't seek a waiver because he didn't think they'd allow him to have two young children in a scene with so many explosives. He then directed the scene to have a helicopter fly closer and closer to a mortar detonation until the rotor was blown off and the helicopter spun to the ground. One of the girls was crushed by the helicopter and the other (alongside lead actor Vic Morrow) was decapitated by the rotor blade. This wasn't some freak accident, it was recklessly pushing the limits of safety on a film set until three innocent people died." -quote from chadisdangerous on Reddit John Landis is absolutely responsible for the deaths of at least three people due to his hubris and negligence. By the way-making a film isn't 'for the good of society'. He was doing it to line his pockets.

I heard Al Pacino and Diane Keaton won't because they had such a crazy off-screen relationship. Not an actor but the late John Frankenheimer famously quipped, "Will Rogers never met Val Kilmer." Both Kilmer and the late Tom Sizemore got into a fight on the set of Red Planet where they refused to be on set together most of the time. The same happened between Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson on the set of The Missouri Breaks even though they were neighbors in real-life. Speaking of Brad Pitt, I've heard Ben Stiller refuses to work with him for years because when Pitt's career took off, Stiller was trying to make a movie in between Reality Bites but before The Cable Guy that was a pet project about The Rolling Stones. Anyway, the rumor mill is Pitt was shown the script or heard about it and wasn't interested. Based on that alone, the studio turned the project into turnaround and Stiller had to take on The Cable Guy. They've seen buried the hatchet.

Regarding Mark Harmon: it wasn't just the Dog incident. There are some serious sex-related charges flying around too, the studio having paid out millions in hush-money, that is, out of court settlements with NDAs.... Pauli Perrette also received cash and an NDA.
@andrewleah198310 ай бұрын

@@swanvictor887 That’s totally incorrect and you know it. You can sign an NDA for all sorts of reasons. It would make sense to get people involved even as witnesses to make sure they didn’t speak about their main star in what is a major product for them. @@andrewleah1983 Erm....ok. Look, I am an ex-cameraman, used to work in British broadcasting. While the 'Talent' in the UK could be awkward sometimes and there were lots of egos, they were as nothing compared to the American system, where on-screen talent act like kings and feel untouchable. Now, with regards Pauli Paulette: I have watched several of her interviews where she has discussed her problems with Harmon and SHE mentioned that there were several court settlements and NDA's signed including herself. I ain't got a dog in this fight mate, I couldn't care less! But as an ex-crewman, I've seen a fair bit and yes, 'Incidents' get settled, usually for large sums of cash, OUTSIDE a Court. Rumour and gossip doesn't bother the guilty person at all, shit, take a look at Jimmy Saville and Elen Degeneres: there were rumours for decades about both of those characters but they still had amazing careers and wealth. Actors DO what they are told. Getting a art in a long-running TV show is a dream that brings many rewards. And ASK ANY actress about Hollywood and I'm bloody sure they could ALL give you a list of Sex-Pests they had to work with! Harvey Weinstein ring any bells?? Mark Harmon is an Actor. He Plays a Character. He has Power as an Actor and Producer of the show. His looks are fading and he is getting old. Funny things happen to a man like that at that age.
