Dusty saved the money from the ransom, to be the benefactor for DDP. Dusty also joined the nWo to get inside knowledge of the group, so he could run them down in his white hummer. Dusty, as an old school booker, told Hulk to lay down for Sting (if he didn't he would run him down), than Dusty dug up Ric Flair from the desert. Dusty also laid down to let Giant fall onto his belly, and Giant bounced back up like a trampoline. I forgot the other ones, but rest assured, Dusty, and maybe Dustin, was involved.

The story behind it is that they were originally going to get Giant Gonzales to play The Yeti, but discovered he was having issues with his visa and wouldn't be able to get stateside in time for Halloween Havoc. The idea was to wrap The Yeti up like a mummy so that when Gonzales did show up, they could just have him wrapped up like a mummy and unravel him to "reveal" how he actually looks.

WCW took a lot more chances than WWF (WWE) and I think in the long run made WWF into a better product... for a while. WCW swung for the fences and they either hit a homerun or whiffed badly. I think competition is great for wrestling because it forces both to go above and beyond to attract the fans.

Yes, I remember WWE Creative (source Something To Wrestle With #32 w/ Bruce Prichard) wanting to turn Hulk Hogan heel during the time when Bret 'The Hitman' Hart and Yokozuna and Jim Duggan were all pursuing the heavyweight title. They didn't want a repeat of the two faces clashing when Hogan fought the Ultimate Warrior. Vince McMahon said fans would never boo Hulk Hogan - he could never be made a heel. Boy, he was wrong on that one.

#7 - I thought the stipulation was only supposed to apply to one title match. #1 - this is an ongoing thing on the Busted Open radio show. Apparently, only Baby Doll, Tommy Dreamer, and I think Dustin Rhodes know what that photo really is (you can only see the back of it). However, they didn't exactly drop the storyline cold; Dusty mentioned a week or two later that he had won "the services of Baby Doll for thirty days (oops, I forgot, this was Dusty talkin') for Thuddy Daze" (and he did, back in mid-1985 - the WCW episodes on the WWE Network don't go back that far, but the Mid-Atlantic ones do; look for Baby Doll riding a horse named Floyd).

10. Agreed. 9. "protest" the powers that be taking over. 8. Piper's team segment bombed on Nitro which led to next week on Nitro Flair offering the Horsemen to make sure they win the power play. 7. No comment. 6. Giant was supposedly "supernatural" (yeah, I know). 5. Russo and thought Hacksaw could make it a underdog thing. 4. Kimberly felt sorry for him and had won the lottery. Was supposed to be DiBiase (rumor). 3. It was Sting in the failed "heel" run. 2. No comment, but the godfather of Matt Hardy's universe stuff. 1. It was booked to sell the next big house show. Supposedly as Zybysko says in a World Wide or NWA Pro show and I quote when pressed "Rhodes was in jail!" in a compromising position. Dusty beat him for to keep the U.S. Title and destroyed the negatives. The end. Next time double check with me before these countdowns on NWA/WCW. More than happy to help.

#9 Was Hogan’s last match. Til the Bash at the Beach 2000 match. He was plagued with injuries and supposedly having issues with Russo. Who had just barely came over. There was no follow up, for a reason. #6 Paul Wight explained on air, and years later. He fell on to a “banister” #4 It was Kimberly. After Mero had left for the wwf. It was suppose to be someone else. But, they revealed it to be her.

The infamous match between Hulk Hogan and Sting happened at Halloween Havoc 1999 not 1998 because that's when the infamous match between Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior happened.

It amazes me how much the Nasty Boys accomplished in the late 80s early 90s wherever they went. There were so many great tag teams then N I never thought they were one of them. Yet they were usually in the title picture. Guess it pays to be friends with Hogan.
