PPVs were $29.99 when I was growing up in the 90s and early 2000s and I was only able to order one a year for my bday, and if the PPV sucked, then tough luck. It didn’t help that they were always on Sunday nights and I had school the next day.

OK, my overall impression from this video is about the same as my feelings at the time. Hulk Hogan's "creative control" and Bischoff's unwillingness/inability to reign him in ruined WCW. Vince is not always right, but his willingness to cut ties with the Huckster in the early 90's was the right thing to do.

Halloween Havoc 98 should get an honourable mention. The main event wasn't shown as the PPV overran the time and the semi-main (which technically ended up being the main) was Hogan-Warrior which was somehow still worse than not getting a main event

I'd love to see Halloween Havoc return in the WWE and make each match a gimmick match. But if you're gonna have an unrigged wheel pick the gimmick at random, then make each gimmick actually cool and not crappy like a coal miner's glove on a pole. Or y'know, don't have an unrigged wheel randomly decide the gimmick at all.

I was wishing at first that it landed on a Prince Of Darkness match so we could see what that is. Well about a min later it occurred to me that it's more than likely a blindfold match. So I'm glad we didn't have to witness that disaster.

Actually the real main event for Great American Bash 1991 was a 2 on 1 Handicap Match between Rick Steiner vs. Arn Anderson and Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman). It was originally supposed to be Madusa vs Paul E. Dangerously, but the Maryland Athletic Commission (event was held in Baltimore) would not allow a man vs. woman match. Great American Bash 1991 is such a mess that it is no wonder it is considered one of the worst wrestling PPV's ever.

WCW Superbrawl 2000, the whole PPV was a dud. I was there and didn’t remember anything about it, except that James Brown was there. Even after watching it again on the network (for only $9.99), I still don’t remember anything about it.

War Games 1998 was really painful to watch, especially with a stipulation like this.. WCW died becasue of the Wrestlers Ego.. WWE morally died because of a Grumpy Old Man's ego..

Back in the Portland Wrestling days, Dutch Savage vs Apache Bull Ramos in a Coal Miner's Glove match was all that and a bag of chips. Just because WCW had no idea how to work it doesn't mean it was a bad concept.

Fall Brawl 1995 was really bad too. Hogan, Savage, Luger and Sting vs. The Dungeon of Doom in a double cage match. Problem is "hell in a cell" style WCW cages at that time had a incredibly low roof, so it was impossible to pull off a lot of moves without someone hitting the top of the cage. So the match is just a bunch of brawling and it gets old really quickly. Then the Giant appears at the end and does a ridiculous fake neck snap on Hogan.

Sting vs. Hogan, Starrcade 97 Terrible match and all of that build up just have a botched finish.

I forgot how dreadful some of those wcw main event matches were watching them as a kid. The worse was wcw uncensored steel cage match between Randy savage and hulk Hogan one of their worse matches together with a bad finish as both guys ended up beating up sting and savage just walked out of the ring.

White Arquette, the lead role for Ready To Rumble, War booked to win said match, he didn't agree to a reign, feeling fans wouldn't think of him as a credible champion.

You can say Halloween Havoc is cursed, but it just needs the right person to run the event (**cough** Triple H). Plus going back to giving PPVs unique names rather than just naming them after a match type could be refreshing. And who wouldn't want to watch a show named after the most ghoulish time of year headlined by a bout named Hell in a Cell?

It wasn't Bischoff who wanted Butcher to main event, it was Hogan. They were trying to win Hogan over because his contract was coming up and they wanted him to resign. That's why Butcher and not top heel Vader faced Hogan in the biggest PPV of the year

Well what made the Fall Brawl 98 main event so bad,in retrospect,was the teams were in name only. In actuality,it was a 9 way dance with every man for himself.

Actually a lot of Halloween Havocs had pretty good and stacked cards so although you may of not liked the mains as clearly pointed out I would argue that overall some of those shows were pretty rememberable

Hogan was beyond terrible and definitely helped sink WCW. Boreberg was way over hyped and got more wins than his lack of talent earned him.

No mention of Hogan vs Vader where neither wanted to do the job so Flair came out in drag and he did the job despite not even being in the match.
