A great year for music. Come Together is my favorite from 1969 - from the first time I heard it I knew it was special.

I was an impressionable 12 year old in 1969, and these songs had a possitive effect on my growing into adulthood. I was never told that there were any particular songs that I 'couldn't' listen to.

I was also 12 - we were privileged to be growing up during these times - I miss them. Terribly but we can still listen today and be transported back to that wonderful time - and of course we had the 70's just around the corner 😊😊😊

I was 6. I had a little 45 record player. One of the 45's I had was "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe. I listened to that over and over. I would spin around until I fell down. Great early memory.

I was 14 and going with my first husband in 1969. He didn't dance but he was a music lover. When we got married in 1976 we lived in a cheap little rent house but had a $3000 turntable and speakers - lol. Great memories!

I like all of these songs that were picked out for this TikTok including: The Archies' "Sugar, Sugar"; The 5th Dimension's Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In"; The Temptations' "I Can't Get Next To You"; The Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women"; Sly & The Family Stone's "Everyday People"; Tommy Roe's "Dizzy"; The 5th Dimension's "Wedding Bell Blues"; Marvin Gaye's version of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"; The Beatles' "Come Together"; The Beatles with Bill Preston's "Get Back". I also like most songs of that era, year, decade and of course most songs of yesteryear..

Graduated from H.S. in 67 and was playing drums with a local garage band until Dec.1970 (joined the Marines) I can only agree with 2, possibly 3 of these songs being hits IMO. Honky Tonk Women, Get Back, and Come Together. The rest was just bubble gum music, popular on the West Coast.
