Honestly he had so much potential and is probably the best thing to come out of the sequels. I bet he'd be on board for a redo to fix all of Disney's problems, considering how he's upset on how bad the sequels were

Part of the problem is that the films didn’t include a majority of Kylo’s backstory, leaving some viewers to see him as a whiny emo boy. Ben Solo was horribly abused and tormented by Snoke/ Palpatine starting at a very young age. Adding to that, his parents weren’t there for him - this pains me as an OG Star Wars fan since 1977 and a fan of Han & Leia, but the reality is that they were neglectful parents. Disney Lucasfilm really blew it - they had an extraordinary actor in Adam Driver for the part of Ben/Kylo, and they squandered him. This could have been a rich, complex story of Vader’s very powerful grandchild being conflicted and torn between the Dark and the Light. Instead, they went with cheap fan service. It’s a real shame that they left most of Ben/Kylo’s story out of the films. His behavior would have made a lot more sense to most viewers.

I am not sure about the neglect part due to expanded media and the fact that they were trying to fix the galaxy after the Emprie's fall. It was probably not easy to do two important things at once.

I think they should mostly work on how to end a video and not just cut it abruptly It would make them more nice to watch or listen and also seem less like they juste stopped mid-editing

I seen the new trilogy of movies in the theater once with my son. He loved them but he was only 3 at the start. Now he doesn't care and only watches the clone wars, Rex, Cody, bad batch etc all new Disney star wars shows. I like Solo and love Rouge one. Disney F'd up bad, the new movies should have been about Jacen, jenna, anakin solo and Ben. Disney F'd up so bad it cost a billion in following.

His character is too inconsistent, I could never figure out where his arc was going or if there even was one. Was never quite sure why he was so angry all the time. Adam Driver is a very good actor which hides the poor writing to an extent.

It will always baffle me that they made a sequel trilogy to one of the greatest film trilogies ever, and had NO PLAN. No outline, no framework for an overall story. They were actually making it up as they went - hence, Daisy Ridley saying that while they were filming Rise of Skywalker, she still had no idea who Rey’s parents were because they COULDN’T DECIDE. I mean, really??? It’s unreal.

The cross guard only makes sense for Kylo Ren. The reason Ren has the cross guard is because he failed to bleed the crystal correctly resulting in the unstable blade and damaging the hilt, so in order to make it work and not blow up in his hands or face the cross guard is actually exhaust points to release some kyber energy to stabilize as best he could.

Kyle Ren is Sith. Snoke is Sidious, he made Kylo his apprentice. Therefore he was a Sith Lord until he became Ben Solo again.

#11 Kylo Ren was not a good villain. He didn't rise to be even a mediocre villain. A highly immature manchild running around in a silly and unnecessary mask trying to cosplay his grandfather. Not scary. Not intimidating. Actually a bit pathetic. Nowhere near worthy of taking over Vader's place.

I think that made him a great character though. We're so used to seeing highly skilled, competent villains that the protagonist has to rise up to defeat. This is a great subversion of that trope, seeing the flaws and immaturity of the antagonist. I just wish they did more with it... Could've been a great story of how brashness leads to a downfall. Instead we got a really corny redemption.
