I'm only a quick jump over my back fence and I'm on the top end of your beach. Wouldn't live anywhere else, nothing like going to sleep listening to the Pacific lullaby, the surf crashing onto the beach.

Most or our winters we will get below 8 degrees, and during the coldest months down to 4 degrees in Victoria. So it depends on which State you are living in.
@scottwilliam61416 ай бұрын
In the ACT and regional ares it gets down to minus 5 in winter.

In Wollongong here it's rare for the minimum night time winter temperature to get below 10°c. The minimum record was 4°c.

Must be coastal. Anywhere on the Great Divided Range and inland it will get below freezing.

I wouldn't be able to deal with European winters, I need the warmth all year around.

Southern Europe have winters similar to southern NSW. But northern Europe have quite dark and cold winter's, it's not as bad as you think, they sell amazing clothes for it and all the infrastructure is built to stay warm.

As an Australian living in Bavaria for four years I loved experiencing a proper winter. Firstly, you dress properly for it. Then you have housing and buildings designed with underfloor and wall heating that makes you feel cozy. Then there's the seasonal food and drink - mulled wine, Christmas chocolate with cinnamon, warm candied almonds, hearty meat dishes, and more. I lived in a small historical town with a huge castle overlooking picturesque buildings centuries old, and cobbled streets. There was a Christmas market in the town square each night that looked like something out of a fairytale. On New Year's Eve we went up to the castle and drank champagne while fireworks exploded overhead and children toboganned on the slopes below. And sometimes when I was walking along at night, I would just stop and gaze up at the snowflakes drifting down out of the black sky. Magic.

@elrey8876 thanks for watching! Ahh your description of Bavaria has made me miss Europe! I understand what you mean, although I love the warm weather I do have days where I crave getting cosy in a pub with a fire 🤩

Winter in Tasmania is pretty cold, and Melbourne gets pretty chilly. The norther regions dont have winter, they have a wet or dry season. I guess you are either in Sydney or the Gold Coast if you live in walking distance to the beach.

Yes just south of Sydney! In Tassie right now it’s a lot cooler ☺️ thanks for watching

There's good and bad in each country but some are better than others at your age you should be thinking about where you are going to feel happier living the rest of your life if it's back in the UK or somewhere else you will only be the one to know that just have a good time until you settle down

Lives in a coastle region. Warmth from oceanic effect. Also as far from equator as North Africa. The travel opportunities mentioned are long haul flights. The nearest to him is New Zealand which is similiar to Moscow to London, or Sydney to Perth (WA).

Ah the early morning lifestyle. Not sure people realise how early we all get up and get out to do stuff. Maybe that impacts how early things close for some things but it just seems natural to get up and about in the AM before it gets too hot or we have to go to work.

Are the day light hours similar to the uk?
@DainLuka4 ай бұрын
the day light hours are shorter so in Summer it gets dark at 7/8ish where as in the UK its like 10/11pm/ Winter it gets dark around 5/6 :)

Yes but the difference is blue skies. Nearly every day. Even in winter. The only time its not blue is when its about to rain raining just finished raining. He is talking about Sydney with regard to temperatures and climate. The further south you go the colder it gets including fogs frosts and snow. Cold yes, but again bright blue sunny skies for the most part.
