The difference with here and there is the altezza is pretty common so we switch the badges and grill to the Lexus ones and you guys do the opposite.... But I have a 04 Toyota altezza manual 6 speed stock and very fun to drive i subbed to this channel some time ago because of your is 300 build keep it up

From Barbados, just recently bought my Altezza(2 months ago), Qualitat version. Best decision ever. Sold my ae101 levin which I had for 4 years. I do agree with you about people being skeptical when you tell them the year, mine is 2001 and it looks so modern.

Plus the steering on this handles amazing. Definitely one of the best cars ever made

Another Brilliant video!! I have an IS 300 myself. She is the best car I have ever owned. What I love about her is the fact that she has a 5 speed manual transmission. (You should really do another video on if you would change out your car's transmission or not. You could totally do it.) What is difficult to deal with as an owner of this car's transmission is that the clutch and flywheel need to be changed out on her at the same time. I have limited my driving with her this winter for me to save money for this work to be done. I hear about all the kids that change their flywheels out to the light weight flywheel and I have decided that I will not be doing this. Sure the car gets up to speed more quickly off the line but the engine more likely gets ruined with a light weight flywheel. The flywheel cannot simply be resurfaced. My IS 300 is normally aspirated and is very smooth and reliable. Back in November my mechanic fixed her oil leak and changed her timing belt and water pump. Now her engine is sublime! I don't drift her ever and feel bad if I get her revs above 4000 rpm. I am the second owner of my IS and the previous owner was a careful and responsible lady owner. I love my leather interior. I love my air conditioning. Can you speak about the "sticky dash" issue, or was this topic touched on earlier? I love that she is rear wheel drive. I love her fog lights. I just switched out a bad tail light and it was so easy to do. Make sure you get the dual filament tail light bulb. I love her sunroof too. I love the rear tail lights. No other car has this arrangement other than the Nissan Skyline. I am not a fan of the Altezza rear tail lights. They don't look as good as the IS 300. I feel fortunate here in the US to have my car with a 3.0 liter straight six engine, when in Japan and Europe they can only have the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine. I love her engine sounds too. I also love that she is stock and has not been ruined by some yobbo named Keith. I intend to keep her stock and maintain her for as long as GOD lets me.

I have a 2001 black is300 with cream interior, factory hid, fogs, and a limited slip diff. I love it! It's so unique among all the bimmers, mustangs, camaros, subies, and Z's that I see on campus at my university. It's so much more rare than the second gen as well. I also don't feel as bad enjoying my 2j knowing how strong it is ❤

Yeah I absolutely love my stock chrome wheels. Don't plan on every switching them out. Too bad I destroyed my front left wheel hitting a big ass pothole at night, so I'm rocking 3 chrome wheels and one regular wheel, sorta annoying. Great video dude. Congrats on all the subs.

Mines blue :) And I bought mine for $5,200 with 38,000 miles. So worth it. All IS300s come with chrome JDM 17" wheels btw. All 300s also have Suede and Leather. All have HID lights as well. I didn't I see a sunroof on yours though? 200s on the other hand seem to be what your talking about when you say that some 300s(but really 200s) don't have options that come stock with all IS300s. The only premium features on the IS300s that differ are heated seats, and a sunroof, which mine has and I love it!

I found a 2001 a few months ago on car gurus. Sucks that the Manuals in these cars are so rare.. But what is great is you can still drive it manual, even if theyre just the buttons on the steering wheel. Such a fun car though I love mine. Wanted one ever since i drove with it on Midnight Club 3 lol

Saw that cool looking car at the Washington International Auto Show -- it is now over 295,000 miles and still running like a champ. Gave it a tune-up yesterday -- took me an hour to get to the spark plugs/coils/wires/gasket, etc. I have to say the 2JZ engine is smooth as silk! Great driving car with nimble handling and an incredibly smooth engine and transmission. A great car for those who appreciate good handling and fun driving.

Nice. I have a 2003 IS300 5-speed. I paid a lot more than you did, $17K when it was 3 years old. Has 110K mile now. It's still cherry, dark grey with the 5 speed, coil overs and sway bars. I love mine too. Very comfortable and extremely reliable. Your videos have been helpful to me. I didn't know they could drift, need to try it soon. I do have a problem disconnecting the electrical connectors on my car (any car). If you could make a vid about that I would appreciate it.

if you are in the US hid for these are standard. so are fog lights. you had to add fog light delete. Careful with the chrome rims. they start flaking internally eventually. (ask me how i know) lol lost a set of nice tires from a set that went bad on my 02.

I live in the UK. My IS, all lips fit it and it's not a short bumper, and it doesn't have reflectors from factory. All cars come with fender signals, my IS also has headlight washers that auto pop up from the bumper. All IS300's have HID lights with levelling, as well as fog lights here. Mine also has half leather and suede interior. Has TRC and Snow buttons. 6 speed manual transmission with LSD. Bought mine for £280 which works out to about $350, and its the SE version, which is the standard model.

I love my 01. Even in auto it's still tolerable. Always hated the tail lights though and it ages the car in my eyes. I fitted led tail lights with a full red lens but still looks stock. Best improvement you can do to the appearance whilst keeping it stock looking.

Dude all of them came with HIDS, if one doesn’t that’s cus the owner didn’t wanna pay 120$ a pop for bulbs, and the front end isn’t “unique” every one slaps the alteza grill on, most people don’t even know that some of the real original altezas have diesels in em. There is also no “base model” there’s only 1 factory model BUT some have a sub roof and if he lucky they have some that came with a factory LSD. The only thing about this is that I think is “rare” is the fact ur factory wheels are chrome.. not knocking the car it’s super clean it’s cleaner than mine that’s for sure. So none the less. Great work!! Car looks beautiful

I've got 2 Toyota Altezza rs200's. Same as the is300 but with a 2L engine pushing out the same bhp as the is300. Amazing machine. Blew the engine on the 1st one😔 hence buying the 2nd one.

I have an 2003 Altezza RS200, Z edition, 6speed manual trans, 210HP - 2L Beams engine and I love it. I wish I can take it with me whenever I go back to the states. but if I go back I will be getting me a IS300. put in storage my Altezza and bring it back whenever the 25yr rules comes up. hit up all the SXE10 crews around the states and the world. Man I love my 01 for a lot of the same reasons you listed. Mine has the optional LSD. You should swap one in, launches much harder and makes the car a blast to slide.

I trade a altima 03 hate those cars . so i traded my friend for his is300 2003 salvage with 157k miles auto matic. Plus $500 bucks even trade, i replace water pump and timing belt tensioner as well . did the work my self. Love the is300 ✌🙏💯

I’ve own 2 is300 and I notice them every time . They all have hid with the label. And also fog lights lol also they upgraded the seats later , you don’t even have seat warmers . You were supposed to have the leather with swede inserts. As they never nice them from factory . It’s either all leather or all swade

I bought my 2018 IS 200t for $1500 off the dealer and I paid $25 for windshields wiper fluid , $1000 for a new engine , and $1700 for door opener fluid I got a steal . 🙄 and don’t forget power seat fluid for .56 cents .

nice video and nice car....but a few things you said made my left eyebrow go up......majority of the IS300s ive seen here in the states have HID with yellow fog lights, and you do not have 8 piston calipers, those look like 4 piston calipers...unless you were adding the amount of pistons on both sides...also most of the IS300s ive seen comes with leather with suede inserts. So those things are not rare or exclusive to your car, but rather things you like. someone i know had one that was 5spd, LSD, and even had factory Nav
