Most of the universities do not provide a new CAS number. Its also mentioned in the Graduate Visa Information page in UK gov website that use the previous CAS letter for the application. Only some universities provide a new CAS letter.

Just a small doubt, I travelled to India for 10 days during term time without authorised absence (I applied for authorised absence but did not receive a reply). I had to go to India because of a medical emergency. Should I mention this in my travel history or not?

If it’s emergency you can go As per the rule you should inform your supervisor about this. But they won’t grant your leaves as this is your dissertation period. So better you don’t say anything or don’t inform anyone. I hope you don’t need to go to classes.

Hello, I am a masters student of University of Glasgow, and I am doing my dissertation. I successfully landed in a full time job in graduate programme and my employment starts from 2 Sept. Because this is a fixed programme my dates cannot be changed and the offer has been made and accepted. My question is My course started on 11 September last year and My dissertation submission is on 15th August, on paper my course ends on 11th sept but I will be free and I really have to start working otherwise I'll loose my job, will this end effect my PSW, because technically my course will be over and I have received results for all other modules and I've cleared it. Please Answer!!!

Hi. In my part time job once it happen that i was overpaid for 16 hours. It reflects on my payslip. We were informed that it was a technical glitch and they couldn't do anything about it but from the next pay they started to deduct the amount that they have overpaid. The deduction was also reflected on my payslip. i never crossed my 20 hours working limit. In my last week they overpaid me as well for 4 hours but i can't access my payslip as i do not work there anymore. Will that create a problem for psw?

Hi, I applied for My Wife. As a dependant. But, IHS fee come £0.00 pounds. And got the IHS reference number. How it comes. One things , in medical treatment option Q. Did you received medical treatment in UK? A. YES Q. Were you told that you had to pay the hospital, clinic or doctor's surgery for your medical treatment? A. No Q. Where did you go for your previous medical treatment in the UK. A. To a doctor, clinic or hospital for non-emergency treatment. Q. Name of hospital, clinic or doctors's surgery A. Provided Q. When did you start receiving this medical treatment? A. 07/2022 Q. When did you stop receiving this medical treatment? A. 08/2022 Q. Did you receive any other medical treatment in the UK? A. NO Was those questions and answers right/wrong. Please let me know. I will be appreciated. Thank you

Do I need to mention every short travel to the EU, and northern Cyprus? Also I traveled to the EU for a month during the 3 months summer vacation, should I state this and will it affect anything?

Short trips less than two weeks can be avoided. And you travelled during the summer vacation so that’s not a problem. Any travel more than two weeks and not during vacation time can be mentioned. It’s actually don’t affect your psw

Hello ma'am I really appreciate the way you replied to every comment, i wanted to ask you if a student travels to india for 14 days for an emergency and even has permission from university then while applying for psw do students need to declare the period they were not in the UK? And do they need to upload any mail by university that they have granted permission to go?

If it is for 14 days then you don’t need to mention while applying. If it is more than 2 weeks then you can mention and no need to upload anything in application.

Write the details of the family with whom you are staying. No physical verification take place. It’s just a formality. Put your address properly because they will post the brp to the same address

thank you for the video, I had a few questions. I finished my course in September and exactly left UK after 1 year for a medical emergency in India. While I received my results and University confirmation in November, I returned to UK in December to apply for the GR. So my address is not a continuous one. It is the same address but do I need to break it down till September and start from December as I did not pay rent for 2 months and it was a new agreement? I started to confirm my identity in India and created the account but will submit while in UK. Is that an issue?

For putting your address just mentioned the address where your brp can be delivered safely. No physical verification take place most cases So you can give address of your uk home where you will be present to take your brp card

My visa expires in may 2024.Due to some reasons i need to travel to india with my spouse for a month in march 2024. Kindly let me know if this is risky and afftect my psw and let me know when should i apply for psw to be on the safer side

You can travel to India It will not effect your PSW Apply for PSW once you are back in uk because it’s a mandatory criteria for PSW While applying and waiting for decision you can’t leave uk So as soon you come back and uni has informed ukvi about your course completion then go ahead and apply

Hello mam, I have completed my study in September and My visa is expiring in 1st week of January and still university is not sending me confirmation mail. I mailed them many times but they are only saying we know your visa is expiring and we will send you mail just wait. Now most of the officials and our university will be closed after 25th December so i am little bit worried about that. Can i apply without confirmation mail ?

Hai, I mistakenly worked for extra 2 hours in a week, thinking it was my vacation period (from Dec 16 to Jan 26). I believed I could work full-time during this vacation, but later realized the day I worked was not part of the vacation according to my international student calendar. You can apply your psw once you got your degree and clear all your modules, and the university has informed ukvi about your course completion. After this you can apply for psw

No problem with changing accommodations. Yes you can apply psw anytime before expiring your student visa.

If it’s not a major treatment with hospitalisation then you can simply put no and move forward. I think for the DL yes you can put the provisional one.

In the last one year in uk : i was not working for first four months as I didn’t got any job , then I have started working more than 80 hours per month for next four months and rest of the months I have worked accurately. Due to family emergency I am in India and Will it effect in applying PSW ? If they reject PSW what is the next process ? Will my funds go in vain ? Please confirm.

Usually it won’t affect your psw Until and unless if it doesn’t come into their eyes. Many students have been doing this but still they got their psw So dont worry I think you will be fine

Do you know if I extended my period for completion of my thesis, is my end of term date regarded as the date I completed it through visa application, just as my student record says? Or is course duration regarded as the original date?

When you will receive a mail from university stating degree awarded and they will mention in the mail that the university have informed the home office about your degree and then you can apply for PSW. It will be clearly mentioned in the mail but after you get your result keep following the university about when degree will be awarded

Hello, I am working in a company where the month cycle starts from 21st of current month to 20th of next month so there are instance that i have exceeded 80 hours in 1 month because 21st of month lies in between a week and i have not exceeded 20 hours in that week. Will it affect my psw? Thank you

I was looking for some advice. For PSW, although I have never crossed 20 hours per week. There were a couple of discrepancies where they recorded fewer hours in a month and adjusted them in the next month. I have got the email chain of me notifying them about this issue. Due to this, in that month, then I crossed 80 hours a month. However across my total time working, that limit hasn't been crossed. Would this be a problem for PSW, like should I get a letter of confirmation from them that this was their mistake?

No it won’t affect your psw. And while filling up the application you don’t need to mention all the addresses. Just mention your recent one.

In the mail it will be mentioned how many days will it take for brp to come. Usually it takes 3-4 days. Contact ukvi once

I did everything that you mentioned correctly. But still mine has been delayed. I applied on December 22, 2022. Today is April 16, 2023. Still no response from them. I mailed them, contacted via MP, called home office and also wrote a physical letter. They are not giving any clear explanations.

I am so sorry to hear that but this is quiet weird. It’s a long time they should have mentioned it. Do received the evidence sent mail after you submit your PSW application?

URGENT Hi, I applied for uk student visa for jan intake on 20th Nov, there is a delay cuz of nsf and I have an interview set up by UKVI on 22nd Jan. My classes started from 15th Jan m. Informed my uni that the delay is from UKVI. They say you will not be eligible for psw if you don’t start classes from 15th jan. Is that true? I am aware of a few students in the same situation last year but they got their psw. Please advise

Yes you need to apply for a new cas letter University will guide you how to do the process. So get in touch with university international department and discuss about this.

Hello! I want to ask a question my current student visa is going to expire on this 30th January i have applied for my psw but my university told me at this movement that i have failed in one module so i will be getting diploma degree instead of masters so due to that i will not get my psw but i have already paid and applied for it so my question is maybe i am going to switch my visa to tier 2 skilled visa because that's the only option i have now and i need to cancel my psw application so can i go to india for 1 week if i will go and come back before my current visa expires will that be ok?

Hi Maam, I left the UK on 6 Dec 2022 and returned to the UK on 26 Dec 2022. Out of this my official university vacation started on 17 Dec and ended on 8 January 2023. Do you think this will affect my graduate visa when i apply for one? And when applying how many days should i mention in section "travel outside UK"?

Thanks for your Video. I do one mistake in my application regarding putting information about my dependent instead of choosing Yes, Married I choos Yes,but we are not Married then rest of details as usual okay so is it create any problem for getting Visa? One more thing we are Married for 4 years so in time of student Visa application I put all information properly.

When universities are closed during holiday period Students are allowed to work more than 20 hours

Hi one of my friend worked 3,4 times 24 hours per week it’s her dissertation period and his employer said you can work if no uni because in dissertation she has no uni classes. Would it b effected on PSW or it’s mentioned when applying for PSW .

You on dependent visa and your wife as main applicant? And on student visa why she is taking so much danger of working more than 20 hrs. Sometimes it’s ok students work But not on continuous basis.

Hi there, what if the student applies late for the PSW visa like after 30 days of expiry, what happens then? Will it get approved or rejected and if it gets rejected will I get refund?

You can’t apply after expiry of your brp You need to leave the country once your brp expires So apply within the time period
