Hinata’s love for Naruto was one of the aspects that pushed her to want to become more powerful. Sakura’s love for Sasuke got in the way of her potential and pissed us all off 😂

+Danky Kang the point is that that scene was different than anything that ever came before it or followed it. The show did not dabble much in portraying beauty, dance, or music, you see. The innocent reaction of Naruto also distinguished it.

She's a hyuuga & was trained & approved by neji himself for God sake, she's one of the multiple people who worked hard to upgrade by being affected by Naruto & is always described as being super strong, yet they only used her for the role of the pure powerless maiden for some reason smh. I just hate how they deminished her (& the whole hyuuga clan & powers which were described to be the greatest in the beginning) as a powerful ninja even after all those years to fit a romantic narrative & make the uchiha clan more op

She didn't have any trait aside from being in love with naruto and being shy...that is not a well written character. I mean she was definitely better than sakura....but being better than absolute dog shit doesn't amount to much.

Kishimoto wasn't good with female characters. Atleast this was corrected in boruto. In boruto new and old both female characters are truly doin something instead of being useless and worthless. (But hinata still is not doing much).

She is crazy strong and I would love to see her training with Himawari or going on missions/training a new team of genin. It is sad that she gets downplayed as the housewife. Himawari isn’t old enough to go to the academy yet and she doesn’t want her feeling lonely all the time, because Naruto is always doing work and Boruto spends a lot of time at the academy. A combination of things. One: she's the co-head of the Hyuga clan with Naruto. Two: She's the wife of the hokage. Both of these things make her a huge target. She can't do missions because outside parties would interfere seeking her.

thank god for the anime giving her more screen time...same for the side stories in the naruto ultimate ninja storm games...in the manga shes like a background character shes barely around and barley interacts with naruto….heck even in canon anime moments they added filler of her so she got to be more fleshed out in her big moments cause in the manga if you see hinata savor it cause you wont see her for years some times after that besides just being on panel but not actually doing or saying anything of value...shes such a minor character in the manga not even top 20 in terms if important but in the anime shes like top 10....cause they staff saw the value she brings and fans like her

Hinata has always been the best female character in Naruto by a long shot. Much more interesting backstory, sweet personality, one of the best looking move sets (I want more fights from her in Boruto though), by far the best woman for Naruto, and she's been appointed as Hamura's heir as well. We might finally be able to see some killer Gentle Fist action in Boruto. And people saying she's a generic housewife, she has Himawari to look after. She's the only mother in the series who had two children and one that needs her attention. Also we're only 37 episodes into the series and really there's been zero conflict so far. She was established as a Master in the Gentle Fist during the Boruto one shot manga and she now has Hamura's chakra. Be patient y'all, Hinata will be showing some serious feats later on in the series I'm sure.

Hushpuppy Lol, what are you talking about. She was one of the most useless characters in the show, she contributed little to nothing during the entire series. Like seriously tell me what she ever did, she had no character development whatsoever. She didn't have any relevance until Naruto the last. The only members of those original group of genin that remained anything relevant in shippuden were Naruto,sasuke, Sakura,shikamaru and gaara. I not saying I dont like any of these characters or anything, I just stating facts

Even though Kishi said he had some trouble writing female characters, Hinata still came out pretty great and by far one of the best in the series. People who call Hinata a stalker don't know what an actual stalker is. The manga shows that Hinata simply watched Naruto train. That's not stalking. Hinata has never chased or followed Naruto around. She was able to maintain her physique after 46 bowls of ramen, because it all went to her chest. Now that I think about it, from a purely character standpoint, Hinata makes more sense on Team 7. Every member of the team not to have some kind of sad/tragic backstory, and here Sakura is the only with a happy, sheltered home life, and when put up against the others, it's hard to take her seriously.

Not really, especially when you considered what happened during her match with Neji. Naruto giving her his support helped her gain her confidence. Though now that I think about it, Kakashi was a horrible sensei, and that might have stunted Hinata's growth as a ninja.

Kishimoto did say in the Kobayashi interview in 2015 that he regrets Sakura. But onto to Hinata, by the end of the war, she became as strong as Neji. Needless to say, she became better by the events of The Last, especially from that godly powerup she received. Then, in the Boruto one shot manga, she's stated to be a master of the gentle fist. It's safe to say that she's definitely the strongest Hyuga in existence.

I find that debatable about Neji being the strongest if he was still alive because in the time Hinata has spent training with him, she caught up quite well to him and I'm pretty sure they still would've been training together since one of the databooks states she wanted a rematch with Neji. I feel if Neji was still alive, Hinata and him would remain equal in strength until Hinata gets Hamura's chakra.

It saddens me that Kishimoto destroyed the female characters. Although I am a hardcore hinata fan I agree that hinata is lower than sakura. Both of them had their developments but the fact that hinata wasn't the heiress in the end really fucked up her character. Kishimoto should have planned something out to show Hinata's and all the supporting female characters abilities. Like a actual canon fight. Temari seems like the only real strong Kunoichi in the series besides Sakura. Shame that Kishi made Hinata into a housewife and a damsel in distress.

+Nena Hinata become the first lady of the village after he become Hokage. Her life as a shinobi ended after that, because she would be a target as the wife of the Hokage in missions. Plus the series show us that is quite comon for females to retire from the shinobi life once they marry or become mothers. And it actually makes sense for them to do so. The life expectancy of the shinobi was very low, so natality was important to sustain the shinobi population. So is crucial to portect the female population more, as a drop in the female population would afect the demography for many generations. Another factor is Japanese culture... Is generally expected of the female japanese to retire from work and become housewifes after they become mothers.

Always loved Hinata as a character...and I always wanted her to end up with the one she actually loved. When it was confirmed I nearly screamed in happiness! @10:45 Neji was Hinata's first cousin. Not only that but Neji's father was Hinata father IDENTICAL TWIN brother...genetically speaking they're nearly as close as brother and sister (one could say twins are nature's clones, even if their mothers were diferent...and don't you think we never got to really know Hinata and Neji's mothers all that well a huge BS?)...even if Japanese culture doesn't see cousins marrying as problematic (at least as we occidentals do...), that close of a marriage would be a big no-no even to them.

Viqtor mate it’s a matter of Naruto would never let that shit happen if he was still alive. And like Kyukon said, killing off Hinata would invalidate a lot of stuff from OG and Shippūden. It’ll either be just Naruto dying, or both of them dying together. No one wants to see widowed Hinata. Naruto’s death would be hard enough to swallow, let’s not destroy Hinata emotionally in the process. If they die they’ll do it together just like Minato/Kushina probably protecting their children.

I would much rather loved to have seen, Hinata become the Leader of her clan and stop the slavery they have in her clan. She definitely has the potential to lead her clan. I don’t like the basic housewife they have made her.

Forever Outraged First of all the fight you’re referring to is filler, we have never actually seen the fight in canon, Hinata didn’t give up anything, her own father disowned her because he thought she was too soft and weak and therefore he chose Hanabi who is around 6 years younger than Hinata and yet she was just as strong as her older sister and was getting stronger. Not having your own will is slavery, are you forgetting about the thing the second branch had on their foreheads?? If they disobeyed the main branch the would get punished severely

Favorite Hinata moment was definitely the Pain Arc when she actually did confess her love for Naruto. something we were all waiting for, that felt like it took forever to happen. my other favorite was in one of the filler episodes, she did Shuugo Hakke Rokujyuu yonshou. as bland as she was, i still liked her and TenTen more than sakura. frikkin moegi got more love than sakura lol.
