The destiny is being way too cruel for all of them.. from being 5 legendary heroes (High Cloud Quinlet) who make a lot of achievements (Jingliu: Sword champion. Jing Yuan: Becoming a general. Dan Feng: The selected person for Long. Baiheng: Possibly a Nameless member. Yingxing: Creating plenty of weapons which are helpful for Luofu despite being the only mortal of the group) to being a group of strangers with no more friendship and strong bond (Jing Yuan is now the general but all alone, Jingliu becoming mara-stuck and went insane which make Luofu erasing all of her achievement, Dan Feng committing a great crime, Baiheng is possibly being dead due to being a Foxian and Yingxing… turn into Blade, some could says he became a monstrosity) You can always trust on Hoyoverse to making the most angsty story ever!

Baiheng died bc of Dan Feng, we still dont know if she was killed by an abomination or turned into it, bc the abomination had fur, she was a dear friend of Jingliu and maybe a love interest for Blade (descriptions were kinda vague about it, something about him being too shy)

@@thisisshiteDan Feng also likes Baiheng. The lore explains that both Dan Feng and Ying Xing were researching the abundance, and the lore refers to beloved. However, things didn't go as planned and Ying Xing became immortal, becoming the Blade we know today

Baiheng is probably still lives, in one of the daily assignment for exp material called "Nameless Land, Nameless People", its mention that the one putting the assignment is "Baiheng, Foxian Traveler". So she probably choose to follow the Trailblazing path after the group disbanded

We know that the actual details of Dan Feng's crime was the use of the Transmutation Arcanum. We also know that originally, when the Vidyadhara still had a homeworld, they could alter other living beings at will. This led to them eventually destroying their planet, and the revocation of most of their powers as a species, to be only used by the High Elders who were the wisest of them. Dan Feng and Yingxing were really close (implied maybe even lovers?), and I think that Dan Feng used this Transmutation Arcanum to make Yingxing truly immortal, unable to die of old age or even injuries. However, as this is the domain of the Plague's Author, it was one of the ten unpardonable sins, so they were both exiled/imprisoned. Over the years, Yingxing went insane longing for an end to his long life and became Blade, while Dan Feng underwent the rebirth process and became Dan Heng, who no longer has any memories of his past, yet was still locked in the shackling prison for an unknown amount of time. Additionally, I think that the use of the Arcanum must have had some other cost to make Blade so hellbent on revenge. I really hope we find out more about their story in the upcoming update!

another fact is, at the glass-toasting scene, it's shown that Yingxing is wearing the dragon bracer. The dragon bracer, as per mentioned in Passerby of Wandering Cloud set, it is said that the bracer came in a pair. If the owner give one of the bracer to other person, they are destined to meet again, and even can feel each other's warmth. The Bracer, in fact, wore by someone strong, someone who used to drink under the moon together with someone who wields a spear. The owner of the other pair, was no one than the spear-wielder. Interpret this anything you want, I've said what I want to say. Hehe.

The Dragon Bracer made by Yingyue Jun given to Yingxing is currently worn by Danheng (4 star) as shown on his left arm in his playable character model. Blade still wears/keeps the other half which is how he managed to hunt him down and kill him countless of times across the universe. What's also a little interesting is that both Danheng and Blade are immortal, and no matter how many times they have killed each other (one for self-defence, one to make the other "pay the price"), they always come back and the cycle repeats. There is nowhere to run, as show in their shared lightcone...

There's a theory saying that Baiheng is dead but was reincarnated through the Vindiyadhara reincarnation cycle thus Bailu was born. It could be one of Dan feng's previous sins as he made a mortal immortal (Blade/Yinxing) and reincarnated Baiheng (possibly using his bone marrow or something like that so that's why his species chose Bailu since she may have inherited Dan Feng high elder genes through the process) Bailu is also the only one of her kind who never had a dream of her previous life. But eventually she would get one but somehow the dream she got was about a Foxian girl traveling across the universe.

There is collectable documents inside the palace of astrum, literally diaries about baiheng, where she came to Xianzhou Zhuming to do a delegation to request for arms and reinforcements, and she met the young yingxing and general huaiyan

Danheng, Blade and JingYuan make me so sad !!! I want them to be better, heal from the past and maybe rekindle their friendship 😭 I don't really know what to think of Jingliu for the moment though... Baiheng is dead for sure, but there is one theory according to which Bailu might be a reincarnation of Baiheng. This became possible due to Dan Feng grave sin in which not only Blade became immortal. Also we can find a "memory of a past" in one of the eggs in new location (forgot how it calls), where if I remember right Jing Liu kills chimera that probably is reincarnated Baiheng and also due to this Bailu, while being a dragon, doesnt has ANY memories of he r past lives, since its her first life in this appearence

Baiheng(Bailu) was kill if not mortally wounded. And Dan Feng used a portion of his High Elder power to try and bring her back. The first attempt at bringing her back failed and in her place an abomination was created. The entire Xianzhou had to mobilise in order to bring her down, but in the process countless lives were lost. Actually is already confirmed Bai Heng "died" when she piloted the spacecraft carrying Dan Feng together that time, it's in Dan heng's IL information section which what was left of her was drops of blood and few strains of her hair but no body. Also theory on X in a thread that Bailu is actually Bai Heng's reincarnation which many clues is pointing to it especially in their names the "Bai'. In which another theory suggests, Dan Feng was devastated that Bai Heng 'died' so he performed the ritual to revive her back but since it failed it gave birth to Bailu instead

i think "of 5 people 3 must pay the price" is not about Blade hatred, its Jinglius. I think when she tortured him she brainwashed him that way.... its revenge for getting Beihang killed and reborned as Bailu (jingliu was there when then the procedure didnt succed, and she was reborn as monster. she killed the monster, and tried again again until bailu was born)

@@Doflaminguard the theory is that this is the sin Dan Feng committed. He must have used the Ambrosial Arbor and the Vidyahara magic to try and ressurect their two short lived companions. His sin offended the Xianzhou and the Vidyahara people as well...maybe 50% of his people. Their people do have a reproductive problem, one of the reasons why a Vidyahara may join the Sanctus Medicus. That's the theory

Bai Heng secretly knew this mission and tag along 😂 Bai Heng and Blade almost die. thus, Dan Feng commit the grave sin making both of them immortal. Thus, he was force reborn and vanish. Jing Liu who could not believe her best friend has been transform to Bailu becone mara struck due to the emotional burden. Thus, she swear vangenge to kill Blade and Dan Feng. Ironically, Blade is immoral just not age but also cannot be killed by weapon. Thus Jing Liu try to kill her a 1000 time and make him remember how painful death.

I guess this was meant to balance out the gender selection in their other game Genshin. In Genshin's official KZfaq channel, the trailers and cinematics uses Aether, so Star Rail chooses Stelle to balance out. Keep in mind likely a majority of Genshin players played/watched Star Rail.

Yes. The chosen "main" MC in genshin Impact is Aether (thats why Lumine is shown as abyss princess) and in Starrail it is Stelle. Its easier to advertise if there is one "main" character.

I'm pretty sure it's just advertising strategy just like they do with Aether in Genshin. Both the mcs in both games are both the mc, but hoyoverse will most likely advertise one over the other to just for advertisement purposes. It's pretty common in games like star rail In Genshin we see Aether advertised more over Lumine, but that doesn't mean Aether is the cannon mc In star rail Stella is advertised more over caleus, but that doesn't means Stella is the cannon mc Both Stella and Caleus and Aether and Lumine are all the cannon mc. It just your preference in who you want to play as.

it's actually because they alternate between the two of them. last patch you'll notice that caelus was shown for the trailer. so this path it's stelle's turn. they're not actually choosing, they're just alternating them each patch. plus we've only gotten like 3 patches now so i'm pretty sure in the long run we'll notice how they alternate them more.

It's amazing that they make Yinxing looks like undergo a forced transformation into Blade because he died a thousand of times. Blade still somewhat carries Yinxing's memories, but he is not Yinxing. Just like Dan Heng still carries Dan Feng's memories because he is forced to reincarnated.

So, regarding Dan Feng turning into Dan Heng and Yixing turning into Blade... then what does that mean? Are those people of different bodies? Did Dan Feng/Yixing die and then Dan Heng/Blade was born after (since there's the reincarnation thingy)? Or are Dan Feng/Yixing of the same body as Dan Heng/Blade, wherein Dan Heng/Blade just formed out of nowhere and got the consciousness of their previous reincarnation? What I’ve gathered is that Dan Heng has a new body due to being the reincarnation of Dan Feng, hence him having little memory of his past. Blade seems to be in the same body, just that he’s now immortal and has gone a bit insane due to Jingliu “killing” him over and over again.

It was after he was made immortal. If you read Blade's character story stuff in his profile it talks about how he was killed over and over again. I don't think it explicitly says there that it was Jingliu doing it but I'm pretty sure it's mentioned somewhere else that it was her who did it to him.

@@anaplaysstuff so an approximate timeline of the quintet’s demise could be jingliu becoming stricken w mara then blade somehow dying or getting hurt enough for dan feng to make him immortal then both being ‘banished’ then jingliu training blade perhaps in secret somewhere still on the xianzhou then blade pursuing dan heng and finally the current events? sorry im just confused cause pre-mara jingliu doesnt seem like the type of person who would torture the way she trained yingxing/blade

Many people still don't know that the "blade" of blade is not his no? It was Jingliu's when she was the sword champion. Jingliu just used that said blade to kill its owner or yinqing, no one actually knows that but I guess the past of blade was the one who was slaughtered by that same blade used by Jingliu.

This is probably way into the future but I wonder if the MC will end up getting Baiheng's recurve bow as a weapon when they gain the power of the Hunt? This is just a random thought though, and it only came up because I kind of assume MC will get a bow like Lan when they gain the power of the Hunt. (Also the spear belongs to Alisa Rand, so maybe they'll get all their weapons from notable figures) Anyway this is so far the saddest story HSR, all them were good friends but then everything changed after the actions of one person, now their either strangers or enemies.

Very simplified but Dan Feng believes that his next reincarnation (Dan Heng) should also bear the weight of Dan Feng’s sins. Another way of putting it is that Dan Feng believes that all reincarnations are the same person whereas Dan Heng believes that all reincarnations are all entirely different people.

@dancingkeomi The reason he is mad is because he broke the long-standing tradition / ritual of their kind (I can't spell the dragon species name). It also may be Dan Feng's grief/guilt coming together to attack the current Dan Heng because of not truly believing that he regretted the choices he made as Dan Feng. In the description of the original video, there's a passage about how Dan Feng used to dream of life outside of just continuing the cycle of death and rebirth as the high elder of his species. Except when he did dream of that, he always felt out of place because he could only ever see himself as a dragon, not as a person let alone an individual separate from their duties and role. Yet, one day, it all changed and he was given a second chance in a sense by having a forced rebirth that wiped almost all of his memories as Dan Feng. Which led to his current person today: Dan Heng. Someone who is fully their own person and is wrestling back the control they should have had the first time they were born.

It’s either what both two replies commented on or it simply have something to do with Dan Heng being an unreliable narrator once again which make Dan Feng in this animation looks like a whole villain (a reminder again that Dan Heng don’t know the full story of Dan Feng yet and only painted him based on what preceptors said which… most of them are barely positive)

Just like what exactly Dan Feng actually did hasn't been fully spelled out yet neither has it been said anywhere exactly what JIngliu's motivation was with Blade. It was more akin to torture than simple fighting though.
