I was expecting the late Diego Maradona to be on this list. How he isn’t is beyond me. He was arrested for cocaine in 1991 and given a 15 month suspension and did it again at the WC in 1994.

As a Manchester United fan It hurt to read about Mason Greenwood and Ryan Giggs Two of my favourite players in Greenwood had. So much potential as well. Although I did hear that Ryan Giggs wife lied about some of the assault so I don’t know who to believe.

Mason hasn't even been charged. He was arrested in January and released on bail and there's been 3 extensions and zero charges brought Against him. He hasn't been charged so whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Seems nowadays you're guilty until proven guilty. Innocence doesn't seem to come into play these days.

Some of these did there crimes well after the playing careers were over, thus shouldn't be on this list. So What about the gk that chopped his wife into pieces, Bruno? Or Brazilian and bayern cb Breno who wburned down his own house shouting fireworks in his own house and tried to pocket the insurance money but ended up in jail for fraud.

I don't really think Ryan Giggs ruined his career. He won the Premier League 13 times, FA Cup 5 times,and Champions League twice as well as plenty of other medals.

His playing career no but he's ruined his reputation amongst anyone other than United fans and will always be ridiculed by anyone else. He's also probably got no way back into coaching or managing in the future, even punditry. He's better have some savings because nobody other than dodgy news sources will want him.

I find Italian Fascism a pretty repugnant political ideology, but it has little in common with the National Socialism of 1930s Germany with which it is often conflated. I find the politics of Paolo di Canio pretty execrable. However, many of his detractors speak of him as a Nazi. He is not that. He is a Roman and an Italian nationalist. Fascism has a strange and nuanced history in Italy - and particularly among some parts of the populations of Rome and Lazio. Di Canio certainly has some views that repel me and many decent people, but then so do Liz Truss, Suella Braverman, Priti Patel and Nigel Farage. In many respects, the views of Di Canio are rather softer than some of theirs.
