He clearly didn't want to do it, and judging by the end result, not doing it would have been the proper move to make. Should he have gone to see him in the hospital? Sure. But to try to murder the guy over gravity being what it is, he should have been locked up for. Especially given Jack had a couple years to tell Vic it was fucked up, and even had a match prior to trying to murder him... and could have done the receipt then, where he wouldn't have been able to be charged with attempted murder. >.>

He became a mark for himself and never learned more moves. A great example is Trish Stratus. She learned over the years and became a legit champion despite having the title early winning basically bikini battle royales. Goldberg didn't get that Regal was teaching him. Regal just fell victim to backstage politics. Despite being green Goldberg was over, he was money and there was no way bishoff would let anyone make him look weak. They set regal up. Goldberg was always going to be a one trick pony. A one-dimensional in-ring performer with a limited move set. His sole objective was to have short-intense-squash matches that’s it. That was the whole gimmick nothing more. Unfortunately bishoff and eventually Vince didn’t know how to enhance the gimmick nor did they try to upgrade his lack of in-ring skillset. He was just a guy with the right look and natural charisma who could sell those type of matches and the fans brought into that. It is what it is. Thankfully regal had better luck in the WWE. Look at all that he accomplished. Sometimes being fired or rejected can lead to a better path. One door closes another door opens.

Shawn Michaels used his backstage pull to legit bury Vader after that incident. Regarding the match between Regal and Goldberg, I believe Regal. Regal has been a consummate professional throughout his career. Goldberg was used to having his 1-2 minute squash matches, so it wouldn't be surprising if the WCW brass wanted Regal to extend Goldberg. The two men could have and should have communicated better before and during the match.

New Jack actually tried to impale him. I remember watching a special in the early 2000's, and he said the ring was moved a couple of feet than what they rehearsed. He threw him hoping he landed on the pole holding the turnbuckles, because the ring was moved he landed on the ropes instead. He wanted him to feel what it was like to having a constant ringing in your head, and migraines from the botch that cracked his skull.

I have zero sympathy for New Jack, the guy was a complete piece of trash, the balcony dive where New Jack got hurt was bad but when you do stuff like that everybody involved knows the danger and let's not forget that Jack tazed Vic before trying to kill him, severely beat a 70 year old wrestler and stabbed the shit out of another wrestler in the ring and tried to kill him in front of an audience, he brought a knife into the ring in his pants, nobody should have ever booked that scumbag again. @Kulanae2 жыл бұрын
@@waitselljones8068 It failed as a spot for the same reason the first spot failed and injured New Jack. You have two guys who know nothing about physics. Inertia is a bitch. The first spot was bad timing and NJ went off first and VG fell on top of him. The second spot should have actually been a powerbomb because you want all of the momentum going down rather than at a 30 degree angle because, as what happened, you hit the first table and deflect off and crash to the ring.

@dunnester98 Жыл бұрын
It wasn't. Eddie was pissed at the crowd because they weren't focusing on the match and instead were chanting at the Raw and Smackdown superstars. It took Eddie out of his game and that's why he said "I owe You" because Chris just tried to get on with the match and do their best.
