Love the Russian language! I'm so happy to be in the internet age, as the most important factor in learning a language is listening to a native speaker! Thank you so much for uploading this, Fedor!

listening to your intro is very nostalgic to me now lol! i want to get back into studying russian but i simply cannot justify spending that much time and effort with it at the moment. when i have more time, after i leave university, im considering living in russia for around a year and learning the language that way! any suggestions on how to do this?

Hi Fedor, I suggest that for all videos in which you put text on the screen you also put the same text below in the "show more" section, or in the BF camp videos as a separate document. It would make it easier to use Anki or Yandex Translate to learn more about the words. It takes a lot of time to transcribe the screen text. Taking my suggestion will greatly improve your teaching and communication.

Thank you Fedor for this lesson, it is interesting that all the words are the same as in the Croatian language except the first, that is, in some ways it is similar! Odvratiti Značiti (to znači) Nazvati (naziva se) We also have Polučiti but it is archaic or rearly used word Objasniti Prevoditi (prevesti) Ostati (ostao) Držati (drži) Mješati (to stir, mix) also the second meaning is like in Croatian but we say "Ne miješaj mi se u posao/don't interfere with my business" foe example Predlagati (ja predlažem da idemo u kino) :) :)

Hey Fedor! I had a few video ideas if you're interested. Both because I want to learn about these topics and also because they'd be useful / entertaining for everyone 1. The word ЗАТО 2. Why does the word ПО sometimes use the accusative case and not the dative (example: "По сей день" instead of "по сему дню") 3. Russian tongue twisters (скороговорки)

I have one suggestion -- some videos, or longer segments, that are just fully in Russian. With translations added perhaps (/at certain places). Maybe its a bit too meta, but I think it might be super helpful for more intermediate and beyond learners too which are not quite up to the level of like following a news segment/movie fully

5. To explain Объяснять Ab"yasnyat' ➟★ Very common to use in a language kind of setting. For example: ♦ Right now I am explaining new material. Сейчас я объясняю новый материал. Seychas ya ab"yasnyayu novyy material. ★ And this one “Объяснять”[Ab"yasnyat'] is a bit harder to pronounce because it has a hard sign. [ъ]. So you have to break it into 3 sections when trying to pronounce it: Объ[Ab"] яс [eess] нять [nyat'] 6. To translate Переводить Peerrevadit' For example: ♦ I translated a text. Я перевёл текст. YA peereevyol tekst. ★ Also can be used to say “ to transfer something”, typically money. ♦ I transferred/sent a 1000 rubles to you. Я тебе перевёл тысячу рублей. YA teebye peerevyol tysyachu rubleey. 7. To stay/To remain Оставаться Astavat'sa For example: ♦ It was raining and I stayed home. Шёл дождь, и Я остался дома. Shol dozhd', i YA astalsya doma. ★ But we also use Оставаться [Astavat'sa] to say there is only few pieces remaining. For example: ♦ We only have two boxes remaining/left. Lit: To us/At us remained all two boxes. У нас осталось всего две коробки. U nas astalos' fseevo dve karobki. ➟★ Maybe we are in a store and we only have two boxes of something.

9. 9.1 To stir 9.2 To be in a way or to disturb someone/to distract someone. Мешать Meeshat' For example: ♦ I am stirring soup. Я мешаю суп. YA meeshayu soop. 9.2 To be in a way or to disturb someone/to distract someone. Let’s say, for example: shooting this video and I have a towel on that couch behind me. I can say: ♦ Move the towel, it’s in my way. Убери полотенце , оно мне мешает. Uberi polatentse , ano mnye meshayet. ➟★ The towel is disturbing me recording this video. I don’t want it in the background. We can say the same thing about people. For example: ♦ He is disturbing my work/He is not letting me work. Он мне мешает работать. On mnye meshayet rabotat'. 10. To offer/To propose something. Предлагать Preedlagat' For example: ♦ What are you offering us? Что ты нам предлагаешь? Shto ty nam preedlagayesh'? ➟★ If someone is approaching you on the street and wants to tell you something. ★ Also can be used when you decide going somewhere, and you are thinking of plans where to go. I can say: ♦ I am offering/proposing to go to the movies. Я предлагаю пойти в кино. YA preedlagayu payti f kino. ♦ They called me and offered some credit or a loan. Мне звонили и предлагали кредит.
