In this past year, the Lord really brought me out of my spiritual darkness and some of things I changed were: 1. Stopped listening to secular music 2. Stopped using social media 3. Stopped watching most secular shows or anything that is immoral and degenerate 4. Started listening to more theologically rich worship songs (highly recommend CityAlight and Shane & Shane) 5. Started reading the Bible everyday and praying constantly 6. Began my recovery from my eating disorder 7. Started to study apologetics and sound theology 8. Stopped idolizing my reputation and career goals 9. Began to want to become a homemaker/mother 10. Began to appreciate even the smallest of things in my life because the Lord has blessed me with privileges that I don’t deserve. Praise the Lord Edit: i never celebrated Halloween growing up (we went to the harvest fest at church every year LOL). I also really like the fall cozy vibes but I’ve been convicted about it too recently, so seeing all the cute Halloween stuff in stores makes me sad because I love cute autumn stuff but I’m really anti-Halloween 😫

You can also lump in Hillsong and Elevation with Bethel, along with a few others! Also I'm excited to see the videos on your "haunted house" and your reasons for not celebrating Halloween. We never celebrated it either as a kid, but we would dress up and our church would have a "fall festival" where we wore costumes and got candy. It really is weird if you think about it...Christians partaking in a holiday meant for the devil. I don't know much about the background on the holiday, but am eager to hear more from your video.

@@lydia1306 Hi! Honestly a lot of mainstream churches have bad theology. Not all, but the majority. You'd be surprised at a lot of the Christian artists who follow Bethel, Elevation, and Hillsong and support them. I'd suggest you check out the KZfaq channels: Steven Kozar, Fighting for the Faith, Justin Peters, Doreen Virtue, and Melissa Dougherty. They expose a lot of the lies these kinds of churches preach. Hope this helps!

Yes! A big, huge no to all of them. I use to love Halloween and thought it was so fun. Hocus Pocus was a movie I watched every year and now- never again. That movie had a scene where the “witches” are calling a man dressed as the devil master… . absolutely not.

I've gone through turning from extroverted to introverted! I think it happens more often than you think, when we're young kids or teens I feel like there is nothing more important than external validation from peers. But as you grow up, you become wiser and less tolerant of toxic behaviour from your peers, so it can be really draining to be around people that you don't trust completely, and you don't feel the compulsive need to please other people . I feel more comfortable by myself or with my fiance (at this point it kind of is like being by yourself, but in a good way!) I think it does take time and maturity to completely feel as if the only validation you really need is from God who loves you unconditionally, everything else is just a nice extra.

I loved this video! My family didn’t celebrate Halloween either. Our church would put on a party where kids can dress up and get candy but we would celebrate and learn about the beginning of Protestant reformation and Martin Luther and the 95 theses. since it happened on October 31st. That definitely helped us so we wouldn’t feel like we were missing out while everyone is trick or treating.

Hey Nastasia first of all thank you so much for sharing this video because WOW we have similar convictions/changes over the past few years and it’s been so good to know that someone else out there feels the same way that I do. I feel the same way about bethel music I had to take out their songs from my playlist because I was soo convicted about it and what’s been going on in their church. I also feel the same way about Halloween. Every year I love to decorate my apartment according to the season/ holiday and this year I just completely skipped the Halloween section and just got decor for fall. I just didn’t have the desire to buy anything for Halloween and I think it was God telling me don’t do it all along. Also just love that you have been more careful to what you listen to I feel the same way too because the time I was most depressed was the time I didn’t listen to uplifting music, podcast, videos etc. There was definetly a HUGE correlation to what I was listening to and how I felt at the time. Overall such a great video Nas and I loved everything you hit on! Hope you’re having a great week gf🥰💕

I love your videos. You are definitely one of my fav youtubers💕 I admire how you stand by your convictions. Its great hearing about how God has worked in your life and how you’ve changed for the better over the past few years. I’m looking forward to your video about Bethel church. I’ve never watched a Bethel sermon but I used to listen to their music until I heard some troubling things about them. I would love to hear your perspective on it. I’m so glad you don’t celebrate Halloween anymore.Thank God for Cai lol. My Dad never allowed me to celebrate Halloween and he explained why so I’m super grateful for that. In my opinion, Christians should not celebrate Halloween (or any of its derivatives) in any way. Halloween is so significant to occultists (witches, satanists etc) that there is no way to remove the satanic underpinnings of it. Anton LaVey (the founder of the church of satan) said that Halloween is the one day of the year that Christians let their children worship the devil. As Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 6:14, “What communion does light have with darkness?” Anyway, I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos🥳

And the elder said to the younger Our father is old, and there is no man left on the earth, to come in unto us after the manner of the whole earth. Come, let us make him drunk with wine, and let us lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the elder went in and lay with her father: but he perceived not neither when his daughter lay down, nor when she rose up. And the next day the elder said to the younger: Behold I lay last night with my father, let us make him drink wine also to night, and thou shalt lie with him, that we may save seed of our father. They made their father drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in, and lay with him: and neither then did he perceive when she lay down, nor when she rose up. So the two daughters of Lot were with child by their father. [Genesis 19:31-36]

So funny about Halloween. I always disliked it as a kid. Felt it was dark but felt pressure to dress up and participate with school friends. I did like the candy aspect though😉 I have kids now and we have allowed them to dress up in non scary costumes and get candy. I try and focus on the harvest aspect of it but I do know it’s demonic and it’s an important holiday to satanists. My husband and I feel pretty convicted not to celebrate it this yr. over the last 3 yrs my faith has grown as I’ve finally read the entire New Testament and I’m on my way reading the old. I came from Catholicism growing up to just a Christian now. I feel even more sensitive to what I watch as well and what I listen too even more so than I used to in my 20s. I’m in my 30s now. This was a great video and I’m glad you already have this wisdom at a young age. Take care 💕

Makes sense, specially with non Christ centered music I’m very strict about that tbh I’m overly strict even with some Christian music but that depends, because I know if it don’t celebrate Jesus, I don’t need to hear it at all. Even doe the words have no ‘meaning’ to it that’s the ones you look out for because everything has a meaning to everything in a way,+The spirit behind the songs (person) . It’s easy to cover things up and make it seem cool and non demonic but usually with me personally the Holy Spirit within me will just nug me and I know to not listen or be surrounded by what ever music that’s playing. Even if the song is about flowers 😅 but that’s personal and I know what non Christian music can do & has done b4 I ain’t taking no ricks

@ashleeputnam3472

I view this topic from the perspective of a Christian. The Bible tells us that God has given man dominion over the Earth. This includes all the plants and the animals. And while one could argue that animals are too similar to humans and that means we shouldn't kill them, I have not found scriptural evidence to support the idea that animals cannot be used for food or other uses. It is important to remember that we as humans are made in God's image. We are set apart from all other parts of His creation. He gave us this Earth and everything in it to care for and in turn His creation helps support us. Our bodies are designed and in need of nutrients that naturally come only from animals. While I certainly agree that our treatment of animals should be humane and considerate of them as a living being, I believe that God provides certain animals for us to aid in the support and natural functions of our bodies. He created us in this way. I know that God does not make mistakes in His designs, and it would make zero sense for Him to create our bodies in such a way that depends on animal products to support it functioning optimally, only for us not to be allowed to eat animals. We absolutely should care for and be considerate of every part of God's creation, be it animals, plant, our bodies, other people, etc. It is our responsibility as Christians to do so. And I believe that within this realm of thought is the acknowledgment that there are animals on this Earth that God has created for us to use as food. Now, I will reference Paul in 1 Corinthians 8 as he speaks on not eating animals for the sake of another brother or sister in Christ. Here he is specifically referencing the convictions of some believers to not eat meat (because they believe it is sinful), and while he is with them he says he will not eat meat for the sake of not causing them to stumble in sin. I think the point that we should always consider whether it be regarding food or otherwise, is that we should be seeking God and His word to help us understand what we and should and should not do. And, on top of that, be considerate of other believers and how certain actions or behaviors might cause them to stumble. For me, on this topic of eating animal products, I am not convicted to not eat animal products. I have a complete peace about my decision to consume these products because I believe it is line with God's word. However, if I am in the presence of another believer who is convicted not to eat this way, I am considerate not to eat something with them that would create an unnecessary divide or a disturbance of conscious for that person. It can be a really gray area, but I believe we should always first and foremost seek God and His word, while also being considerate of others' needs.
