Some adaptogens lower cortisol. I have high stress in an on going basis so I thought I had high cortisol. Then I took Rhodiola and an adaptogen powder mix and it made me feel even worse. Fatigue as if I had taken benadryl. I wonder if anyone was able to raise their cortisol with licorice root. My last hope.

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been dealing with heart palpitations, and I thought it was due to Dr. Berg’s keto diet. But, thanks to you, I realize it is most likely due to the raw adrenal complex I started taking a few weeks ago due to adrenal fatigue. So, thank you!! It wasn’t the supplement. It turned out that it was Dr. Berg’s ketogenic diet that was causing them. The diet caused a constant adrenaline state; so once I stopped the diet and added in some healthy carbs, the heart palpitations stopped.

Hi VitaLivesFree, I did the 4 point adrenal/saliva test and have low cortisol noon and very low evening. Some say my cortisol in morning is not optimal, is 20 but should be 25. My main symptom is severe weight loss, I've gradually lost 18kg in last 2 years! I'm hoping Vitamin B5, Rhodiala and licorice root tea (I already take some) will help. Like you Vita, I cannot tolerate B vitamin complexes and cannot take ashwagandha, gives me heart palpitations and get very warm at night. My thyroid TSH is low at 0.79, T3/T4 in range, TPO negative, but need to check TG antibody &TSH-R or Reverse T3 for hashimoto's hyperthyroid. I do have slightly dark circles around eyes, sleep well but struggle to get up, get tired in a few hours after lunch, and have history of very busy life with work, fitness, travel, emotional stress etc If you or anyone else can help me further, or can suggest good brands, it would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Two things that helped me the most were Advanced TRS for heavy metals (I have a few videos about it) and liver & gallbladder flushes (look up "The Amazing Gallbladder and Liver Flush" by Andreas Moritz). It seems that my adrenal issues were primarily due to congested liver/bladder. Liver is really like a master organ that everything else in our bodies depends on.

@@Vitalivesfree Ive just seen this, thanks very much for replying VLF. Could you please tell me how much adrenal cortex you took? I've only taken Thorne up to 4 caps, 200mg in total daily. However, I read others take much more 1000-1500mg or more. Will gradually increase to see if it helps. Can I ask, did you have weight loss issues with the low cortisol? I'm chelating mercury following Andy Cutlers group, but will look into your suggestions. Hair test was mercury positive. Many thanks ☀️

Only now I have properly tested to see which stage of AD I have, turns out my cortisol levels are low the whole day. I hope I'll be able to get some better tailored help now :) Also I have heard adaptogens are better for 1. stage of AD when the cortisol is low and that it can even cause damage to those who alredy have stage 2.

Savannah Funk I saw a functional doctor and he put me on Adrenal Cortex (supplement) in high doses and prescribed LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) for chronic pain. I've only started taking the Adrenal Cortex few days ago and still waiting to be able to start the LDN but hopefully it will be a good fit. I no longer feel confident in treating my AF by myself, so I decided to invest in seeing a functional doctor, it sucks (it costs me a lot of money, alongside with the supplements, super expensive 😣) but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing and not just trying out random supplements... Hopefully I get somewhere.

Number 7, building routine I believe is the Holy Grail. Obviously as long as you're eating a healthy diet and getting adequate sleep. I've never heard anybody else mention it. Ever! Kudos! By the way, why are you not in favor of B complex vitamins? I thought that maybe it was because you are a whole food purist and you recommended liver, but then I see you recommended take synthetic vitamin C, synthetic potassium chloride. So it's confusing as to why you don't like B complex
@Vitalivesfree
@Vitalivesfree 5 жыл бұрын
Building routines is truly the most healing thing we can do. If we could only pick one thing, that would be it. But it's so difficult to achieve in the crazy world that we live in, isn't it? :-) B complex vitamins can cause anxiety and sleep issues for sensitive people with adrenal issues. I'm one of those. Can't take any B vitamins at all. And to be honest, B vitamins aren't difficult to get from food at all.

Generally, cortisol is associated with weight gain, especially in the belly area. But it's impossible to tell without testing. xx

I really can't give you individual advice as I'm not a doctor. You'll need to ask your doctor and research it yourself. High blood pressure is something serious, you shouldn't really rely on the advice of someone from the internet. Wishing you lots of healing!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mum. :-( Rhodiola is very good for dealing with stress, and mum's passing is definitely a huge stress.
