Say what you will about Roman Reigns. And you can bet I'm sick to death of the same old shenanigan finishes on each and every single one of the rare occasions he actually defends his 1,000 plus day title. But to be fair to the guy, we've come a long way from "sufferin' succotash" and spamming superman punch and spear over and over again. Like Cena, he may not be the most technically proficient wrestler in the world (i.e. he's no Bryan Danielson, Zack Sabre Jr, Kenny Omega, will Ospreay, etc.) but also like Cena, he's gotten really good at the storytelling drama of a match. Just from different character perspectives; Cena as the perserverent superhero babyface, Reigns as the unstoppable final boss villain with ten health bars and infinite henchmen. But, more importantly to the subject of this list, he's vastly improved on the mic since his S.H.I.E.L.D. leftover days. He feels much more natural and at home in his character now. Maybe what Cena said to him in that promo lit a fire under him to get better. Either way, I'm glad he did. He's much more watchable now. Even with the shenanigan finishes that I still hate.

Don't forget - the company policy with Cena is that he always gets in the final opportunity in any/every exchange, and while he's allowed to say whatever he wants to people, his "sparring partners" all must be more mindful/careful about what they say to him. Also, you neglected to mention when Rock eviscerated Cena and basically made John shit in his pants by getting "real", in the ring. Upon the conclusion of Rock's verbal castration of John, you can clearly see Cena verbally acknowledging that Rock "got him". Lastly, if you're going to make mention of the promo which earned the number one spot - then you should have acknowledged the REAL moment and person of frustration, which was Brett Hart, when Shawn Michaels referenced Brett enjoying "Sunny days", referring to an inferred dalliance between Hart and Tammy Sytch. A seething reaction by the Hitman was on clear display, immediately afterwards.
