I feel that no one should be refusing to lose. Its unprofessional not to do something you're asked to do at work... if I told my boss, "I'm sorry but cleaning those toilets won't work for me brother", my boss would be like "okay, fine, there's the door. Dont bother coming back"

To this day, I'm still shocked and can't understand why WWE thought it would be a good idea to have The Fiend lose to Goldberg just before mania. Not only did they pretty much bury one of the greatest gimmicks in wrestling history but gave us a rubbish Goldberg vs Braun Strowman match at mania to top it all off and that that was a complete train wreck.

Hogan also refused to lose at WCW Bash at the Beach 2000 vs Jeff Jarrett for the WCW world title & this led to Jarrett laying down in the middle of the ring & Hogan pinning him to win the title as part of a shoot angle. However what Hogan didn't anticipate was that Vince Russo would curse him out for real afterwards. Hogan then sued WCW & Russo for defamation of character which never went to court because WCW went out of business. Heck there is an entire Dark Side of the Ring episode on this whole incident.

Steve Austin’s is actually the most forgivable and understandable imo. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to do the job for Brock, it was just that he wanted to make a story out of it, and make some money off what was left of his major draw status. Which I would assume from a business standpoint is the logical thing to do. Even if Steve felt his character had started to grow stale in 2002 he was still a mega box office draw for the company.

I mean he refused to wrestle Rick Rude since he legit feared should he decided to do so, Rude would lock him in and Hogan would be unable to break his grip Also limited his times competing with Andre since he also knew if the Giant went into business for himself he’d likely be unable to stop him Also never being in any real programs with Meng/Haku because of legit fear of him too, having once begged him to stop him from choking out Brutus who complained to the man he was feeling Haku was being to rough with him in the ring Hogan is living example of Vince’s belief of big men is bullsh** since most of his chosen guys are more akin to models or weight lifters then actual tough guys or fighters in any competent way Of his biggest chosen guys I’d only believe Brock and Kurt could legit beat someone up or fight in some way Shawn, Triple H, Cena, Ahmed Johnson, Hogan, Nash, Reigns, Khali, Jinder, Miz, Randy, JBL, Etc These are guys he’s at some point tried to sell us on being champions and larger then life powerful men…but really more often then not I don’t really see it in the grand scheme of things
