I would have went with the sandman. I forget what year it was, but at some point in the 90s, he was kayfabe hurt. Broken neck. It was all a work. However, the lengths he went to not be exposed was inside. He never left his house. He never answered the door without a neckbrace on. He never was seen in public. He never did a siingle thing to let even 1 fan know he wasn't hurt. This at a time before internet. This at a time when he was working for a small ECW promotion. He didn't have to do ANY of that. But that's what he did.

When I went to WrestleMania 31, I met the Boogeyman, and caught him off guard for the pose request. My partner and I are both Haunte House actors, so we asked to do a pose where all 3 of us tried to eat Zack Ryder's head. (As you do) Boogeyman thought it was funny, and Ryder was VERY confused.

imagine if all these wrestlers took kayfabe to the make a wish foundation and tribute to the troops and connor's cure and crown jewel other charities and events. hulk hogan deliberately wrenched too hard on belzer's neck on a hold he hardly ever used on anyone in the ring. it was a front chinlock guiilotine that he was calling a "headlock" while boasting it was part of his usual moveset, which it was not. and he claimed he would use more force on his opponent than he was doing to belzer while injuring him on purpose.

I still don't think that was protecting kayfabe. I think he lost his cool at having to listen to someone talk down to what he does for a living. Undertaker didn't really react when he was going off, which is probably since it's not as big a deal to him ("I'm not getting myself into shit over this, let them think what they want."). In other words it's not "The Mastodon Big Van Vader" about to teach someone a lesson about questioning his legitimacy but Leon White losing his temper over being told his career choice is a farce and acting irrationally.

So about the MJF thing. With the kid theres two things that were reported a) it was suppose to be water and the mom (who alleged work with AEW) forgot to change the drink from alcohol (I think it was tequila?) to water and b) the kid while upset at getting alcohol in his eyes (burns etc) was allowed backstage afterwards and apparently MJF did apologize saying he didn't realize it wasn't water. As for the glasses going flying as someone who wears glasses as long as they werent broken I would consider it an honour to get my glasses knocked off by MJF.
