I always thought corporate Kane made absolutely no sense.

I'm surprised Nikki Cross isn't on the list since she was the insane woman apart of the Sanity faction but randomly becomes normalized when she teamed with Alexa Bliss

To me, Kane's is just heartbreaking. He had one of the best debuts of all time, even undertaker you can see visibly unloading in his pants. His outfit was just amazing, and he was just an unstoppable beast in the ring. Early Kane was so terrifying, The Fiend is nothing compared to him. Then...they just made him an absolute laughingstock. Turning him to selling hot dogs, complaining about toys, etc. I read that Glenn Jacobs only did it cause he didn't want to leave WWE and disappoint his fans. The guy sacrificed his character and body so his fans could still see him. He truly earned his HOF spot. I even met him at one of his rallies. Super nice guy and he answered ALL my questions with a smile on his face. I even got him to sign my Ultimate Edition Kane action figure, and when he saw it he flat out said "Haha, the classic! This takes me back. Good choice, kid". Such an awesome dude

To be honest, the "Big Time Beck" persona appeared almost at the same time WWE and Ric Flair had issues, so I think the gimmick change was in order to avoid legal issues with him since he owns the "The Man" nickname

I have to praise Kane's endurance & dedication to the wwe he never seemed to mind creatives giving him lesser roles but i took huge issue with it. he came in with the coolest gimmick, he is the reason I fell in love with wrestling. he was super invested into it, very mysterious but the only time he really got to shine was when he worked w/ The Undertaker, otherwise they did little to nothing with him. The aura of the character kind of left after he unmasked, though he was still doing some pretty good work but the fear factor was completely gone. I was super excited to see Kane back to form with the mask and they did nothing with it, he was reduced to being comedic to being completely boring & useless 🤦🏽‍♂️ in my mind he should be as big as a figure as Undertaker. Its wild that he's never really had a Mania Moment, where he was over with crowd and was reigning over the Wwe as a Monstrous Force, he was really creative and one of the most safest guys to work with.

Corporate Kane was just WWE's Ripoff of Joseph Park. Joseph Park was TNA Abyss's alter ego (really a way for Chris Park to rest up from his years of extreme hardcore matches).

8:30 Corporate Kane would've been a perfect gimmick for him to have now that he's also Mayor Kane - assuming they could've found a way to work it as a face gimmick instead. It would've made MUCH more sense now and could've easily been explained away as Kane finally realizing his scars were always in his mind and that he has "redeemed" himself as a "real boy" lol

Corporate Kane was a great character, thanks to Glenn himself. He really made you despise that character and want the old Kane back. Kane was getting older and has seen many incarnations of the character, but I think this one shifted the malevolence to the authority. The only true person who has authority over Kane is the devil himself, so I think it could be an interesting lense to look at. By the time Kane dawned the mask again, fans were already growing tense with this character as we see the separation from him and the authority (Satan). The crowd went crazy when he finally appeared, this time his own demon, not controlled by anyone but himself, which might be the most dangerous version yet.

Edge forming The Judgement Day was more of a Edge trying to do something new. Finn Balor joining The Judgement Day was probably the best thing for him he was in desperate need a major character change

I think for the Ric Flair/Triple H rivalry The same argument could be made for Triple H and Shawn Michaels DX reformed in 2006 but just 2 years prior they were in a Blood Feud themselves and nobody really questioned it then.

Unless someone gets over to the level of The Rock for the women's division, no one would have booed Becky. Also, babyfaces also have an expiration date. Believe it or not, there was a time near the end of 1999 where Rock was being cheered over Austin & they were planning to do Heel Austin at Wrestlemania 2000, rather than 2001. That was going to be the plan before Austin had the neck surgery and was sidelined for almost a year.

Now usually I'll let you slide when you're clearly wrong about something. But you've crossed the line with this one. Big Time Becks? No way. I understand the human proclivity to want to keep the things you like frozen in time, but life doesn't work like that. People evolve, grow, mature and adapt. The moment Becky found out she was pregnant, The Man was dead along with her ego death. Who she was when she returned was incredible because of her performances, especially behind the camera. Oscar worthy really. That character represents what it looks like to reach the top, realize it's nothing like what you thought it would be and being disgruntled about it. Choosing to put yourself first because relying on people to validate you and your progress is just nonsensical because people are fickle and expect you to play a role, even if that's not who you are anymore, and the moment you don't - they turn on you. I loved that character. Especially since "The Man came back". Or as I'd like to call it, the ghost of the man. Even though the fans cheer, the light and the joy is gone from her eyes because that's not who she is. She's only making an attempt at retracing her steps all because the WWE is desperate for that pop. Meh. I'm looking forward to what she does next.

I kinda wish Kane was still sporting a more supernatural vibe for his WWE stuff since his IC brother was (still is? Is Taker still alive in kafabe?) some sort of grim reaper and he himself is a demon-thing. He gets mad in a vignette? Something spontaneously combusts. Someone finds his old mask? Well now Kane is pulling a Jason Vorhees and is basically able to teleport after the thief. They could paint him ditching the mask and the costume as him trying to understand humans better and deciding to ‘blend in’. He becomes ‘Corporate Kane’ because he knows corporations are usually evil and demons = evil so he should be part of one. Glenn is a pretty funny guy and I know he’d have done super well playing up Kane as a demon attempting to be a normal guy.

I think "Stone Cold' as a heel was brilliant. Austin was stale, and the heel turn breathed new life into his character, and gave it a new dimension, rather than the same stale catchphrases and just stunning everyone for no reason.

I honestly hope that WWE and Triple H get rid of the whole Doudrop name and persona and bring back Piper Niven when she does return! Plus, I really hope that they start making and pushing her as the dangerous force she was during her NXT UK days. For me, since she is no longer tagging with Nikki Cross, she should be drafted to Smackdown and be given the opportunity to really shine on that brand. Maybe even push her for and possibly win the Smackdown Womens Championship!

I have been a huge fan of Kane since his debut. I have to say the only time I enjoyed the Corporate Kane character was when he had the Corporate Kane/Demon Kane split personality thing going on.

He returned again in 2018 on SD having a Evolution reunion. Yes, he's buddies with them, especially HHH. Then Batista returned again 2019 on Raw, attacking Ric Flair, turning heel again, and wanted to face HHH at WM. Weren't they're friend again at the Evolution reunion? It made zero sense.

I am wondering if people are confusing the word overrated with oversaturation. There is a reason Hogan is at the status he is. Mind you, I am not a Hogan fan. However, I would be a fool to state Hogan is overrrated. Flair is certainly not overrated. The woman is a trailblazer who came from a legand. That kind of hardcore pressure produced a beautiful gem. Perhaps the fans are just tired of her. For me as an early teen, I was beyond tired of seeing Lex Lugar in the WWE. Perhaps that is the problem with Flair right now. People are just tired of her constantly being around.

Going from heel to face is easy if written well. HHH and The Shield are good examples. They have to gradually change over time. We watched the Shield go from heels to tweeners to faces and it made sense. I liked Corperate Kane when he was a face and he would go back and forth between both characters. I also loved heel stone cold but the way they went about it was definitely stupid.
