Blown away that these $500 or whatever headphones have the pads GLUED ON! The Audio Technica M40x have easily swappable fitted pads, and they're like $100. Goes to show what paying for branding gets you...

I nearly bought a pair of these or a similar model anyway when we visited New York in 2013, bought a Bose wireless BT speaker instead for some reason. Brill video and the new pads look great.

JVC HA-MR55X Best headphones ever made. I had a pair years ago but they just snapped in half one day; the ear muffs were starting to degrade pretty badly as well. Oh well, i'll just get another pair - NOT! They discontinued them long ago. So I went a couple years without them, until I found another pair on eBay. You better believe I'm gonna take care of these these things now! Hopefully I will get to do this years from now, well done on promoting maintaining of electronic items and not tossing them once the 'new' sheen wears off.

Max props for fixing those Beats. I used to have an HTC Windows phone with Beats Audio on them. I paired them with a wired House Of Marley on ears model. I sold the fone (I'm always getting new tech). And the Marley's I still have. They have always sounded great but they have a similar problem to the cups on your Beats with the degradation. These days my daily driver's are Beats Fit Pro in a bright yellowish green colour. The app is great on Android. But now I've upgraded to an iPhone 15. And the Beats budsvsound better and more attuned to the apple tech. Also, if you have CDs (I'm a huge fan of the format)? Rip them in iTunes on AIFF format. Whether you are on apple or android, the sound is amaze. Moving on.. My other daily driver's are Over ear Sony WH1000XM4's. They are the best headphones I've ever heard! Think of your music you love. Then prepare to hear it in a new way. The timing. The detail. They are the biz! Lastly, the Beats Fit Pro WILL stay in your ears for working out, etc. I was made a cripple over two years ago. And I now walk with a stick and a hobble. My Beats are for going out. And the way I walk, it's tantamount things stay in my ears. And the Beats tips curl into my ears. I'm a drum and bass / jungle loving guy. And I don't want to be disturbed when out and about. The noise cancelling works mostly. Anyway, sorry about the sonnet. Glad you repurposed those headphones. I'm all for those who go old skool with tech. Stay safe.

Toss them out, Beats are dog eggs. Get some nice headphones from someone like Beyer-dynamic, Sennheiser, Audeze etc instead

Good video, but one Question: What ERA are you from ? People nowadays as (@zacharyomw7691) stated just throws them away. From my ERA thing were too expensive to just throw away, you learn how to fix things, which in turn gave you SKILLS. I never like the (beats) as they are to over emphasized. I went for inexpensive headphonea I went with Bluaudio T4S, they are over ear and they are either wired or wireless, they have noise cancelling but it is crap, but you do not need it as the sound quality is so superior. I get about 16 hour on a charge, but I like it that I can use a wire and just plug them in when they are not charged. But no more rambling, love this channel, please do not change THIS CHANNEL keep doing what your doing just the way your doing it,
