Nominate Your Local First Responders: Best point of contact at your department? What equipment does your department/responders need? Is there a specific brand of equipment your community uses as a combined effort with other local departments? Any other information you think we might find useful? Please send request to givingback@mnmillennialfarmer.com
Zach and Becky Johnson will assemble a panel of volunteers to review request a distribute donations accordingly.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Much better with me and my grandpa. I learned some basic signals when operating a tractor with a bucket loader, or moving stuff around. A lot of times he would just frantically wave his hands, give up, come into the tractor and yell at me (I have hearing loss and a tractor isn't necessarily the easiest place to hear; he's cool though). I was 16 at the time. Although, to be fair, I did get the hang of it eventually!

Pretty awesome is an understatement. I have taught high school for 21 years. No farms where I live , but to see your boy run that equipment and do it well, for long hours is what we should be made of. If most teens had half of what he has, we would be soo much further as a country than we are now. I applaud you for giving this young man a chance to learn responsibility and how it feels to be successful.

GET IT ONYX! Proud of you buddy. You remind me of myself over 30 years ago in rice fields in south Louisiana starting to drive a 4640 with a rayne grain 380 bushel cart. Our stuff was a bit smaller than what you're driving, the combines were a 6620 and 6600. At that time all that stuff looked big, we also had a Steiger Cougar 251. I was the happiest kid on earth. Your channel takes me back there for all the great memories AND more of how it works with way better angles than a kid can get from the cab. Super fun stuff.
