That’s why my son wanted to play catcher, because you’re involved every play and you are leader of the field for defense, but the coach says my son is too fast to be at catcher so he plays him at CF, SS, and 2nd. But I liked when he played catcher. I agree CF definitely has to have speed and an arm.

If he wants to do it then it's not much of a problem. Seems the parents are not forcing him. The trainers seem good. They are giving appropriate stuff for his age and not rushing him. The S&C trainer didn't even use weight on the bench press because he's focusing on form. That's good.

honestly a great catcher i’m a catcher n i started at 11 and i was are catcher,the only thing i can i is with blocking side to side try and aim your chest towards the plate because you wanna keep the ball in front of you.

I think that’s a good mentality but more or less what you want is just get your hips around the ball. Especially on breaking balls because you really don’t wanna give it time to take that change in direction once it hits the ground.

Ya I mean it’s not a hard drill though all he’s doing is moving to the ball which he knows exactley where it’s going and all the guys doing is tossing it I mean I know he’s a 10 and getting used to it but that’s all it is it’s not showing that your good

Nobody is hating him. The point is that he is just 10 years old. For him to be compared to pro players at that age is simply ridiculous. Just wait till he discovers video games.
