Cheers! I just bought factory town and was going to give it a try this week, I might do some videos on it if it is compelling. Any tips you can offer?

@@Dekoba There's a learning curve, but no more difficult than Satisfactory. It's a lot more intuitive than it used to be before release, and the campaign does a good job of easing you in. It's sorely needing some guides actually, I keep looking on KZfaq for explanations and there doesn't seem to be anything like what you do for Satisfactory. Not since release anyway. One thing I like to do when starting a new level is set up small production chains in a remote area only to be using for building materials. You can set up forester, lumber yard, workshop, barn in a square near trees. Have the barn fill with planks, logs, wheels and lv1 belts. Then leave it alone, eliminates the stress of running out of materials when building. Same for stone/stone bricks. Reinforced beams etc. It's fairly forgiving though, relaxing, no backwards momentum, very immersive and good for losing oneself.

I'll include my method in my next LP video. My toddler is home from daycare this week so I have less time to work on them which has delayed my production a bit but I am aiming for this weekend or early next week.

Completely agree, but the factory design still works even without it. Since You cant get solid steel until you unlock the milestone, I usually stockpile hard drives until I get steel open, then build this factory while researching and simply add the smelter array when the alternate unlocks. Its one of my favorite parts of this design.

Had to be done ! Ive done a couple city type builds where you can barely tell the truck stations are there at all because they are elevated and concealed behind walls and foundations. its an interesting style and looks pretty cool when it is all said and done, but its a bit of a pain to build and not the most intuitive to understand.

@@Dekoba tnx for the video, I made exact copy of your factory and it's perfect. but for me no need for mk3 belts from steel ingots to assemblers :)

Did you upgrade the line to tier mk3 belts like he said you should? might be the issue.

In this case the trucks take everything to a storage system. Any thing that doesn't fit in the system goes in into an awesome sink.

I have a response to this but I am on my phone and it is easier to show than to write so I will make a quick video to demo it and tag you when it is done later tonight. Super easy to make it work every time though, just target the center of the top of the belt when placing splitters.
