THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE 1: THIS IS A SECRET THAT WAS TOLD TO ME 24 YEARS AGO: *** DO NOT DRINK MILK FOR BREAKFAST ** YOU WILL WAKE UP WITH YOUR NOSE FEROCIOUSLY spewing blood for 30 min or so(I do not recall how long). before this old man had told me this information it at been happening for a week at least. I stopped having milk milk and cereal and it never happened again. I forgot to tell you It was a hot muggy climate always. 2: Put your tint on high ground(when you lose everything to water..... there aren't words). 3. HOW TO DIG OUT A TICK. I'm not talking of dog ticks. They burrow just about all the way into any part of your skin. Their whole body is mostly submerged just not their butts. 4. I went all Renfield on the thing at 4 in the morning (no i didn't eat it). 5 *DO NOT MESS WITH "STINK BUGS" THERE IS ONE PARTICULAR INSECT THAT LOOKS JUST FREAKING LIKE ONE IT'S CALLED THE "KISSING BUG" IT WILL INFECT YOU WITH "Chagas disease " READ ABOUT IT YOURSELF. AND DON''T SCREW WITH STINKBUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rip to this man for his outstanding and educational videos. One thing I noticed he was having trouble with was the draft coming in at the bottom of the tent. Lol Ive slept in many tent as a Infantryman in the Army and a way to stop air from coming into your tent is to put logs, rocks, dirt, anything around the top edges of the tent and this will not allow any air or wind to blow into your tent and it helps anchor it down and keeps water out also.

Thank you for your video. For a lot of inexperienced viewers out there, I think it’s hard to grasp how dangerous and hard this weather is. When you have temperatures hovering above and below freezing, it can be almost impossible to stay dry and warm. If anything gets wet, it stays wet and/or frozen unless you apply heat. There’s extreme risk of hypothermia if you’re not prepared. winter camping in colder weather is often safer, because it’s usually a “dry” snow. If you’re multi-day camping like this, having a tent/furnace combo like this is exponentially safer.
@MegaWoodswalker
@MegaWoodswalker 4 жыл бұрын
You're right. Temps around the freezing point with rain, sleet and snow are really hard to deal with. Water transfers heat 25 times faster than air. Things get wet and stay that way. Very cold conditions tend to be much drier. It's still possible for a person to sweat up their clothing by working too hard then get cold but it's easier to deal with than rain/sleet/snow around the freezing point.

Love that stove. I love camping in bad weather when there can be a good fire. But if it gets too wet for the fire it can get miserable real quick. This “indoor” fire would be a fantastic solution so long as enough wood is cut ahead of time. There is something very satisfying being warm and dry in the sleeping bag while hearing the weather outside the tent.

A little detail that most people don't know, but will help to conserve your energy: saws only cut on the forward (downstroke) direction. So, push forward to cut, then lift the saw slightly on the back stroke You would be able to get through that wood in about four or five strokes and prevent the teeth of the saw from getting dulled on the backstroke. I know it's a small detail, but if you were in trouble it would help you. Good, relaxing video. Thanks

Thanks so much for posting this. I bought the same tent after your first video on the tent. I'm still waiting for it in the mail. FYI, that company also makes an 8 man, and 12 man-sized tents. I'm also still waiting on the price list for those. At any rate. Fun video. I can't wait to try out the tent myself.
