Personally, I’ve never been in love but as a hopeless romantic I have an idea of how it should feel. To be in love with someone is to care about their needs before your own. Whenever you’re around them, it feels as though a warmth as strong as the sun is in your heart. It burns so bright for that person that it almost hurts sometimes. You don't have to worry that they're not happy. the most similar metaphor to this is a problem on a test you weren't prepared for. its temporary, just move past it, don't let it prevent you from solving the rest of the test. I used to like someone a few years ago but I never felt like crying when we parted ways. I never dreaded over the fact that he might not be in my life anymore. I just let it go even though it hurt.
