Did you mean 01 or 02? Ignorance is at its height in India under Modi. All Universities, and even schools, have held games since long. People compete at University level multiple time during the year but I guess you needed to hear it from Modi to believe it.

@@myninjaway Inter University games are considered nationals and she is right, we are not very good when it comes to track and field.

Very few do. Even fewer make the finals of their event. Milkha Singh finished 4th in 1960 in the mens 400m. PT Usha placed 4th as well in 1984 I believe, in the womens 400m hurdles (although she was favored to win). Indians, especially in athletics lag far behind. They can have some decent middle distance runners, throwers and jumpers. Not sure if they can find and nurture an Indian to run a sub 10.10 sec 100m though.

Some of it is probably genetics and some is the way indian people eat.if indians ate more meat it would probably help them become faster than probably what they are now together with proper training but i cant say if they will reach olympic levels because i am not sure if they have the proper genetics,but what do i know.i may be wrong.

haha..really? last year, 19 year old Sha'carri Richardson ran a 10.75 sec 100m. And she slowed down to raise her hands before crossing the line. Let's put that in perspective, please.

That's the average time for the average sprinter in South Africa. You won't even make finals with that time. Might barely make semi finals though.

@@gavinscott10 I think she had a massive tail wind in that which didn't get recorded properly. She never came close to a time like that all season, ran a 10.91 with a +4.3 and otherwise only like 11.3s after that. Until she can repeat that performance its sort of a fluke.

Nice performance but I believe they are not raising their legs high enough. Too many steps. But they're not very tall so that's a good run I guess.

you were right in the first place, it has nothing to do with how tall you are, Michael Johnson had shorter strides but fast legs, so he beat people who was taller than him and he held a world record before Usain bolt beat it.

@@gavinscott10 man long leg= long steps..its just physics... im a sprinter and i know it.. with short legs one cannot compete bigger... long leg is an added advantage.. same applies for shotput(height,angle,upper body strength matters there)...

Jcm Aman They don’t get proper training and there’s so many other factors. Many Indians , especially in the south , like Tamils are very fast . This is the same as with football/soccer . Right now a lot of tamil soccer players are going pro that were born in foreign countries . They just need a proper system to flourish . Also, you can see in this video that they all have to work on their form .

The South indians are naturally faster than north indians. But they have not get proper training . Especially Kerala, Thamilnadu. *100m national record of India is 10.30s. And also He is from Kerala. His name is Anil Kumar*. That u can see in isl. Many of the South indians are very faster .like Ashique kurunian, kp Rahul, Michile susai Raj....
