Picking my bunny up for his monthly nail trim is... an ordeal. Luckily he doesn't hold a grudge (a banana slice helps lol)

Agree. Most rabbits hate being picked up. Then there's that extremely rare rabbit who purposely hops onto you and demands cuddles, even being picked up, because he's a lover bunny that matches his mischievous name.

Yeah, except that not picking up your rabbit unless it's absolutely necessary also means that he/she is 100% going to associate being picked up with bad things, e.g. going in the carrier or to the vet. This is what happened to mine, and it became a huge issue during necessary travel. I'm working him out of it, but I do wish I'd desensitized him more earlier.

@@linastrindlund2830 I haven't entirely fixed it yet. I just try to randomly pick him up when his carrier is nowhere in sight. Sometimes he lets me, sometimes he doesn't.

@Lina Strindlund before he decided I was worthy of his love, my rabbit used to bite holes in my hands as soon as his feet hit the carpet again after being held, for a vegan and a baby, he was demonic. 🙃 I started letting him hop onto me while I was sitting or lying down and showering him in kisses and cuddles while scratching his head so that he associated being restrained in my arms with his favourite cuddle and bunny purrs. When he was comfortable with hopping onto my shoulder like a little parrot i took that as him trusting me to keep him steady so next step was standing up when taking him in my arms for his purr cuddles. At first I would sit back down gently straight away so he didn't feel too unsafe when he noticed then I just gradually held him while standing up for longer and longer. At this point I can stand with him in my arms getting a head massage like an absolute king for upwards of 5 minutes! 🥰😍 I always listen to his body language. If he wants down he gets down right away and now I only get nibbled when he wants picked up 😅

Just a little tip, you should get the volume up a bit on your videos. :) Because I got to get the volume to almost 100% to hear what you are saying, and you have so much great and important things to say! :)

I have a pair rabbit, Male and female. since I don't want to separate them into two cage. Instead I choose to put them in huge cage together. Should I spayed and neutered the male only or both of them?.. When I bought the cage I have no idea what cage suitable for them and now I regret it.

Hey! Love love your content. Is there a chance I can ask for your advice? I have adopted a 3 year bunny recently. I have introduced him to my spayed female rabbit. A week ago the new bunny got neutered. Unfortunately his behavior hasn't changed. He is not good with litter training and keeps trying to mate with my female bunny. Will he ever stop behaving in such way? Or since he is adult he will remain such a naughty?

It takes 4-6 weeks to see a difference in the hormones after neutering. Just be patient with him :)

@@sati6141 Also is better to bond them step by step. I started with switching their stuff like bowls, blankets, toys, toilet. Let them only smell each other. I also did "stress" bonding. I put them in a carrier and walk with them for 5min the first day. after that 10. Slow steps is better, not just put them immediately in the same place. You can also switch their places etc. Amy has a video about bonding process which helps me a lot.

And mounting doesn't necessarily mean sexual activities with rabbits, it can also mean which one is the dominant one like saying " I'm in charge here"
