#Marines conduct a Memorial Day ceremony alongside service members from France and Germany.
In commemoration of the 105th anniversary of the battle of Belleau Wood, the ceremony helps to memorialize and honor those service members who fought and died there, and strengthens the alliance we share today.

I’m a young man who aspires to enlist in the Corps after high school, and I’d like to say that it is the Marines of the past who continue to inspire me to join the best of the best, and defend freedom. ~Future U.S Marine Marcus Delk ⚓️🌎🦅

You go for it Marcus! A young man who has a future planned. Stay in school, graduate (which it seems you’re directly on the path of doing), and pursue your worthy goal of becoming a USM. I am not a veteran, but most family members were/are, including many Marines. My only suggestion to you would be to enroll in as much advanced education (I.e.: University) as your MOS, duty-station and time permits, so you will have additional, in-demand, marketable skills post-enlistment, whether that be six years or a pension 20+. Every single family veteran and friend have given this advice. Best wishes.

Today as I was leaving a store (wearing my USMC) hat, a hand grabbed my left shoulder from behind. My right hand turned into a fist and I turned to see a one armed man and his wife looking at me. He said "Thank you for our freedom". I have been thanked for my service but that left me speechless for a few seconds. Semper Fi and thank everyone for recognizing vets.
