Don't know if you want to pin this but l have a 2015 base model CRV. Everything in this video went well except the grill and bumper cover come off as one piece. I couldn't find a video for my 2015 anywhere and used yours which saved me big bucks. Thank you! 🎉

Lot more steps and moving parts than I envisioned, but thanks for the walk-through. Your patience with us amateurs is much appreciated. Not gonna say how long it took ME, but I'll forgive you for making it look so damn easy...😆 Cheers!

Take this opportunity to replace the stock headlight bulb with an LED bulb and the same for the fog light bulbs, much better vision with LED bulbs over the stock halogen. Great video! VERY HELPFUL.

Wow!! Thanks so much for sharing this! You are fearless for showing us process of discovery as you figure out how to do this on the fly. I'm going to attempt this on a 2016 CRV and this video was a great help

Thanks for the video. I was not expecting it to require these many steps. We just sold our CRV to my dad and was just about to pull the trigger on some brighter halogen bulbs but thought about going the step further and putting some new headlight assemblies mostly for looks since they don't really drive at night that much in that car anyways. I think I'll save up and make it a birthday present for him...and throw in a new grille since it's gonna come off anyways and it's slightly cracked in one of the rear elements in the middle.

Your video was very helpful and I’d like to say thanks. I used your video as a guide to change out both headlight housings on my 2012 CRV.

Haven't even watched the video yet, but liked anyway just because of the fact that this video exists. No matter how much I include the word "assembly" in my searches, I've been mostly getting lightbulb replacement videos. Was looking for 2016 specifically but I figure this can't be too far different. Thanks! Edit: Oh gosh, I wish I saw your video first before I entirely removed the bumper lol.

Thanks for your feedback. It’s a little easier with while bumper off, but it’s not absolutely necessary.

I need to replace both of my headlight assemblies on my 12 CRV . i looked at Rock Auto for replacements. Which did you order? I want decent quality, and fitment close to OEM. There are so many to choose from. Which did you purchase? Well done video, Thanks!
@JoesCarSmartsNY2 жыл бұрын
A body shop replaced one for me. For the other I bough the TYC 20924300 from RockAuto. It’s been doing well so far.

This is a ridiculous amount of work to replace the assembly. A design engineer somewhere needs a beating.

i agree the engineering to replace the headlight assembly and the Fog Lamp bulb is much more work than it should be.

It cause it all designed to be as difficult to replace as possible so you have to go to the mechanic to get it fixed.

Are you talking about the dash cluster? Try turning the little knob that’s sticking out from it. Maybe someone turned the brightness down? You have to spin the tiny knob to the right to make it brighter.

Where can I purchase the clips? Looks like most of them damage once ripped out.
@JoesCarSmartsNY3 күн бұрын
Honda dealer is the best resource for clips. They can look the car up by VIN and sell you exactly what you need.

@JoesCarSmartsNY Жыл бұрын
@@samuelgn1401 Okay. I recommend taking the car to a shop. A car audio shop can do this for you. You want a relay installed on each side. What will happen is when the turn signal blinks “on” the corner light will blink “off” when the relays are properly installed.

I swear there is a ford engineer behind this concept. It's totally stupid to have to remove the bumper cover. I don't think it's a bumper cover anyway. Cause there are no bumpers on cars anymore. I'm using this as a reference for my wife's 2016. Because I cannot find a video for a 16. Thank you so much for doing this one I really only stopped on it because the headlights kind of looked the name but it's gonna help me I hope.
@JoesCarSmartsNY11 ай бұрын
I call it a bumper cover because there is a support beam (bumper) behind the center area for crash protection.
