The No. 23 Gonzaga women's basketball team played its second game on the road and came out on top, 80-72.
Three Zags scored in double figures, led by Eliza Hollingsworth's 21 points. Yvonne Ejim scored 18 with Kaylynne Truong recording 15 points. Both Hollingsworth and Kaylynne Truong made four three-pointers in the game and Ejim led the team in rebounds with 10 to secure another double double on the year.
The Zags come out hot on offense by going on a 15-0 run in the first quarter, fueled by Hollingsworth's 13 points. Ejim and Brynna Maxwell both scored six for the Zags as well to take the 28-17 lead after the first 10 minutes of play.
The Bulldogs shot at a blistering 61.5 percent in the second quarter going 8-for-13 from the floor to score 19 points. Hollingsworth scored another eight to record a 21-point first half. GU held Rice to 16 points in the second to take the 47-33 lead going into the locker rooms.
At the half, GU was shooting at 56.7 percent and holding the Owls to 38.7 percent. The Zags also commanded the rebounding battle, 20-12, as Calli Stokes led the team with five.
Ejim scored 10 of Gonzaga's 17 points in the third quarter as Rice cut their deficit to 64-55. The Owls scored 22 points in the third and shot at 52.9 percent compared to Gonzaga's 44.4 percent.
The Zags went on a 7-0 run in the fourth quarter to seal their road win. Kaylynne Truong led the way in the final frame with nine points as she went 3-for-5 from the floor.
Overall, Gonzaga shot at 49.2 percent and scored 10 three-pointers. The Zags outrebounded the Owls, 37-32, as Ejim grabbed a team-high 10. Defensively, GU held Rice to a 45.3 shooting percentage and 16.7 percent from beyond the arc. GU also scored 15 points off Rice's 12 turnovers.

Eliza Hollingsworth was one point of tying her career-high with 21 points. She went 4-for-7 from the three-point line and 7-for-10 overall.
Yvonne Ejim recorded her fourth double double this year and her 14th in her career. She currently has scored in double digits for 18-straight games, dating back to last season.
