Today I’m going to share 12 tips to lose weight fast. These weight loss hacks will help you speed up your results and maximize fat burning.
Many people struggle with weight loss or hit a weight loss plateau. But, they might be missing just one small piece of the puzzle. I want to help you find that missing piece, so you can lose weight like you want to.
These weight loss tips are extreme, but some people need to go to this level to see the weight loss results they’re looking for.
Our goal is to get your body in a state of fat burning and to run on as many fat calories as possible. Measuring your ketones is a fantastic way to see how deep into ketosis, or fat burning, you really are.
Extreme weight loss tips:
1. Drop your carbs to close to zero
2. Don’t consume extra fat
3. Don’t consume sugar alcohols, almond flour, or prepackaged keto foods
4. Don’t consume restaurant foods
5. Only consume one cup of coffee per day
6. Take apple cider vinegar before your meal (1 Tbsp mixed into a glass of water)
7. Don’t consume more than eight ounces of protein per meal
8. Do OMAD Monday through Friday and do a 48-hour fast on the weekend
9. Do a stress detox
10. Consume fermented vegetables (1 cup a day) or take a probiotic before bed
11. Support your B-cells with vitamin K2, vitamin D, magnesium, and vitamin B1
12. Get plenty of sleep

I was the heaviest I have been this past Father’s Day. I saw a video of myself and was like “I gotta do something”. I started doing research on intermittent fasting. Found these videos. Three moths later I have lost 20 pounds this morning. Real weight. Already started to feel better. Not much extra exercise, eating basically anything. I eat between 5-9pm. That’s it. I’m sure the more weight I loose the harder it will be. So then I can start eating better and exercising. The first Month was tough. Drinking zero calorie propel has really helped feel less hungry. So happy with my progress thus far.

Excellent video Doc. Following your advice I actually got rid of my belly fat and at my age I wasn't sure if it would be possible. I didn't do the extreme belly fat loss, but did it over a period of 2 years or so having built up my belly over the previous 5 years!! . But I think this way is a great start for people who want to see quick results. For me, I found my belly to be depressing, and felt less confident as clothes just don't look good over fat, but I didn't realize it at the time. And even having no belly increases confidence and lessens stress, you can dress better, have more energy, encourages more exercise, it's a positive circle once you get into it.

I lost 55 pounds over a nearly 6 month period. I went from (197 to 142 pounds). My average caloric intake was 1,200/day. During this time I plateaued 3 times. The first time I plateaued for 10 days, and it was this point I gave up. At this point I began consuming 3,000+ calories/day. After 3 days of eating very well I decided to step back on the scale. To my surprise I had lost nearly 4 pounds despite my reckless consumption of food. I then went back to eating 1,200 cal/day and watched my weight drop steadily. The second time I plateaued I gave up the diet after 5 cays. Again, I lost another 3 pounds just by increasing my calories. On the third plateau I knew what I had to do and forgot the diet for a few days. It worked for me and it might work for others too. Good luck!

Great timing as always Doc as my weight loss has stalled. After my wife passed away from CoVid (Jan2021) I started taking my own health very seriously (she was 11+ years my junior). I weighed 360lbs when I discovered your channel(April2021) and slowly switched over to a Keto/IF lifestyle. I lost over 100lbs in eight months, but overtrained a bit on my walking routine (walking helped me sort thru my emotions) and stressed my feet so that I can no longer do cardio for more than 15 minutes at a time, so about 10-15lbs have found their way back to me. I still feel good and I'm getting new blood workup done next month to check under the hood. GOOD NEWS: Got my fatty liver scanned two months ago; its still fatty but noticably less! I'm going to save this video for future reference and go hardcore Keto next week. You rock, Doc!

However I’ve lost about 60 pounds in the last year+ which is a lot for me since I’m only 5’9” and I’ve done it all at home…I might join a gym eventually whenever I Plateau but the nearest one is about 25 mins away living out here in the country. Either way I’ve found abunxh of tricks and hacks to workout at home and now my family when I see them are saying things like “you are too skinny!” Also do you have a cardiologist? Or just an endocrinologist? I would recommend getting a cardiologist to get an EKG to see exactly what’s going on and maybe just put your mind at ease.

@@teresadayton1106 do you have an endocrinologist? You might have decencies that prevent you from being able to workout and lose weight. Also if you’re still in that range where the gym is still relatively foreign and you’re new to fitness I would recommend starting at home until you NEED the gym or don’t have access to something in particular. However at home you can do most things with nobody watching. It can be hard to stay motivated at home like this but you can always break it up into different activities. I’m back in my size 30 jeans and was up to a 38 just a year ago. Did it all at home without a gym or much equipment at all. I was discouraged too for a long time but if you stick with it then I promise you’ll see results… even if you don’t notice any physical results what matters is the numbers in your blood will improve. You’ll lower cholesterol cortisol and blood pressure if you do daily workouts and even though you would rather lose pounds the blood work is more important. My cholesterol was almost 300 my blood pressure was constantly 150-170/100-120 and the other day it was 125/80. As long as you get on the right track it doesn’t really matter how slow the train is or if you go off track here and there a little bit. As long as your trajectory is heading the right way over time you’ll be exactly where you wanna be. Don’t worry about outside appearance so much it’s more about getting those blood numbers right and when you do you feel great and that’s what’s most important.

keto is just another fad diet, just like they first told you that fats are bad and to cut down on fat consumption, now new advice is contrary to old diet advice. it's very confusing and hard to know which advice holds truth and which is just myth and a fad. you're an Asian - out of all races isn't you genes more used to consuming rice (and large amounts at that?) like your ancestors have evolved to eat that ish. so what's the point of cutting down. before you start any severe diets, I advise you to first and foremost start with cutting down the following in you life: 1)sugar - the most important. if you've got a major sweet tooth then you need to make changes. Cut down on donuts, cookies, cakes, ice cream, etc. Secondly, be mindful of sugar in food items you wouldn't think to have them, like ketchup or processed foods. 2) junk food. this includes snacks like chips, fast food items like mcdonalds to pizzas. Limit your junk food items to treats. For ex, a fast food joint or pizza should be once every 2-3 months type, if not 4 months. As for chips and other snacks, either limit to eating once/twice a week to completely cutting out from your diet (save for a rare treat) bc this type of food serves no nutrients and is super unhealthy. 3) sodas need to be cut down completely as it's also super unhealthy and lacks any nutrition while being highly addictive 4) Processed foods! processed foods are unhealthy as most know by now. next limit eating out often and go for cooking most of your meals at home (if done from scratch, even better!). this is very important bc this is how people in other countries stay so slim and fit. This includes avoiding frozen ready to eat meals too btw. and lastly, perhaps be mindful of sodium and high contents of it - but this was already covered in processed foods. and then if you're not making progress or you're already at this stage, I'd advice cutting down on carbs like rice. most people make progress by cutting down all the junk food and unhealthy foods. Other things to be mindful of is eating habits and mindful eating (i.e. don't eat while watching tv or being on on your phone and try to not stress eat). p.s. Ir in HS I did a project on sugar. apparently it's the biggest culprit of weight gain.

On keeping super busy. I think this is great tip. I discovered it on my own when loosing fat and getting in shape -- the added satisfaction of getting things done helps a lot with mood and boosts will power to keep fasting. It is just a great feeling to be feeling light (both from loosing weight AND being on a fast), having done your exercise for the day and now getting stuff marked off as done. But I would probably stay away from very hard / complex / arduous tasks at least until you get used to your routine and you can keep control of your hunger with no problem because you can easily get in the situation where your fasting interferes with your work and causes dissatisfaction. And so I think the best way is to keep super busy but also simplify the stuff you are doing to things that can be done relatively quickly and easily. Try to postpone your most critical projects until after you have lost your weight. If you have to do something complex today -- maybe do it some time after your meal or other time you know from experience is best for concentration.

i also lost over 35 pounds with the keto diet. it took a few months. problem is, is that it's not sustainable. all i literally ate was 2 eggs for breakfast, and basically a spinach/kale mix with cooked meat for lunch and dinner. the minute you start adding carbs from sugary veggies like a red pepper (7g carbs), zucchini (6g carbs), broccoli crown (12g carbs) and tomato (7g carbs), and start cooking them, thus concentrating the sugars, then it becomes harder to stay in ketosis. eating meat and greens only made me feel so miserable. it's just not sustainable.

What’s your biggest sugar consumption? While I don’t consume zero sugar foods/drinks, I know of people who have and they still lost weight while doing keto. @@JohnMarshall-NI yeah definitely, I was in that same boat. I was at my heaviest I’ve ever been at 265 in the beginning of the year. I was eating as a “snack” 2 donuts, a bagel with cream cheese and washing it down with a 20oz coke everyday at work. And that was before lunch and dinner. Now I do everything, keto/fasting/exercise. I plateau every now and then. When that happens you have to change something up. Maybe add 30 minutes of exercise/walking a day. Cut out more carbs, add more fatty protein, fast a little longer or go to OMAD. But keep at it, you seem to be on the right track so far
@orlandodizon4755
@orlandodizon4755 Жыл бұрын
Great thing about this concept is you can design your own program that suits your status, lifestyle , goals, and budget. Cutting sugar and processed food already helps a lot. If you incorporate intermittent fasting, you will lose more weight. Then do low carb like limiting carbs. If you find that easy, you can do keto for a bit. Doing keto for a while makes this specific EXTREME program doable. There are levels and this seems quite advanced. You do not have to do Keto-IF and this program if your current program already works for you. Doing this program right away without preparation and a fat-adapted body will be challenging. Fasting for 2 days becomes easy when you're already doing IF for a while. I'll have more trouble limiting my coffee intake to 1 cup a day or sleeping at 9:30 than fasting and any other part of this program.

Theoretically, I agree with all. I use most of them on a regular basis when needed. I’m 60 with a 46” chest and 32 waist. So, it obviously works for me. But you need to know your body. I can fast for days - but I generally cannot eat a very large, high caloric meal and be comfortable. For me, max protein at a meal is around 40 grams. I could go well over 1000 calories comfortably with 30g to 40g protein (I do especially well with shell fish) and oils like butter, and ghee. I personally don’t do well with large amounts of beef. Pork or lamb digest much better. Just know your body.

Then if I'm still stalled, I'll start eliminating other things like the berries, erythritol, nuts and almond flour, as these make a good part of what I consume daily. @@syedshujaatalishahbukhari3677 just water when fasting- but in reality fasting is just NORMAL for humans, it’s not a diet, but a life style (I have come to learn). I did a 72 hour fast once and that was really interesting, but mostly I try to aim for eating very healthy food up to 1700 and then not eat until 1300 next day.

Thank you. This is so simple and straightforward. Even though it sounds strict I like it better, than all the talk in some programs that "you can eat anything and still lose weight" - this invites more drama and confusion.

Cut sugar and go organic 100% stevia Cut carbs to 40g a day Zero alcohol Resistance / strength training 4 days a week Drink enough water 1 protein dense meal a day 6-7 hrs sleep This is straight forward, effective, sustainable and maintain your muscle mass while burning fat. Good luck guys!

@@nakho3550 yea I get it and I use stevia because it works for me. Just because he said it doesn’t mean that’s the only way to get rid of stomach fat. I’m 6ft tall, 198lbs, great abs with 20% body fat…that’s my personal diet and workout routine and once a month detox including colon cleanse.

Dr. Berg has it listed as sugar alcohols. Stevia that is fresh from the plant is great. I use stevia drops since I can't keep my plants alive.

@@nakho3550 never judge a book by the cover, I don’t use stevia everyday but when I need to sweeten something, that’s my alternative. What works for me may not work for you that’s why you need to study your body and figure out how your body reacts to things to know exactly what to do and how to sustain it without abusing it. I suggest you do exactly everything he said in this video and see if you can stick to it long term.

I restarted Keto in Jan of 2022, was 295, down to 235 but want to get to 215 or 210, I go to the gym daily M-F, Ride 10 miles a day on the bike there and lift weights moderately, I will try this as this makes sense and I can see how this will help get me to my goal before the end of the year. Thanks Dr Berg!

I like how you study things from different angles and pass that on to us. Thank you, Dr Berg. Green tea is an exceptionally healthy beverage. Regularly drinking green tea has been linked to weight loss. Tracking intake every now and then for a few days in a row can help one realize the most important areas for change. Weight loss always require some effort, commitment and perseverance.

reduce. especially the nasty stuff and light exercise. you would be amazed how much stuff changes just by losing the pop and munchies and going for a couple of short walks a day. it's a light start. habit building and stuff anyone can do with ease. Don't eat those late night cookies. eat a fruit salad instead. and go for a walk around the block about a half hour after supper. Just that light change gets you on track and you will see results in a month or so. Mistake #1 people make. Doing too much change at once. totally changing diet and doing way too much exercise in the first few days. and then expecting severe immediate results. anybody can lose 10 pounds of water weight fast. some can lose more. guess what. that can go right back on really easy. your fast results stop right here.

@@JustSavRose not really. my main point is building habits. cutting back on easy junk food. and starting slow with exercise. i tried several times to lose the spare tire. and failed miserably. you have no idea how hard it was to break those game night munchie sessions. the struggle is real. i know. i've been there. munchie survivor here. it took me almost 3 months to lose a belt size. but i was noticing i was feeling better. my walks slowly got longer and my morning exercise routine slowly got a little longer. i never did get all hard core. but i got to a happy place. i'm in decent shape. i'm healthy. and yet i didn't give up eating the stuff i love. cut back sure. but give up, no way.

The simple key to losing weight/fat is to be in a caloric deficit. How you get there doesn't really matter, in the case of losing weight. Know what your daily average calorie intake is, and know how much calories you burn. Either intake less calories, or burn more calories (consuming less calories is easier than burning calories). Ideally, doing both is best (less caloric intake + exercise or energy output). That's it. Nothing else. That's how you lose weight. There are other components that can contribute to less effective results (like stress, poor sleeping habits or lack of sleep, smoking, etc.) But the basis for fat loss, is to be in a caloric deficit.

Hmmm not really… it’s the timing of the food that’s really important. Your insulin needs to be low as much as fpossible. Hence why intermittent fasting is so successful in reaching into your fat stores.

@@hayatikitchen6266 I disagree. Op is correct, I’ve done a lot that’s is mentioned here not to do and I’ve lost over 30 pounds here. Calorie deficit and exercise is absolutely the key here.
