Uric acid has a lot to do with sugar intake and the health of kidneys. Lower Uric acid starts with staying away from all desserts like cake, cookie, milkshakes , candy, and fruits that are too sweet.

Only refined sugar is a problem. Natural sugar in whole foods such as fruit or even honey are NOT a problem!!!!!! The biggest , by far contributor to uric acid and gout is red meat and dairy protein !!!!!

Re Uric acid. It is NOT formed from sugar consumption. It forms after the digestion of proteins such as red meats, poultry game, fish and some purines found in vegetables such as asparagus. Moderate consumpion of the above ought to be practised e.g 100g of red meat. 3 to 5 serves of fresh vegetables per meal, 2 serves of fresh fruit minimum. At least 8 glasees of water daily. It is the PURINES found in protein namely meats et as mentioned earlier that encourage formation of uric acid. NOT SUGAR!!

I disagree with strawberries, due to the fructose content. I use to enjoy strawberries, but had to severely cut back to strawberries trigger gout flares for me. As for kiwis, which have oxalic acid will irritate a gout flare up. The only way around that is drink milk after consuming kiwi fruit. Bananas would normally be gout for gout management, except if you also manage diabetes..which makes it off limits. Pears also have a high fructose content, which once again will trigger a gout flare up. Pineapples are good for the bromelain content, but if as mentioned gout with diabetes..has to be severely moderated. Grapes are an avoid with gout + diabetes management. Grapes are another controlled fruit. Apples, same as pears, the fructose content..be choosey on which type of apple you consume. I've had chinese fuji without too much trouble, but still have to be aware of the fructose level, apples are another controlled fruit. Tart cherries are the ones you wish to look for if managing gout, not the sweet cherries.

Cherries are the best , with botswellia . I wouldn't do citrus fruits unless you take calcium . They say the alcolizing but not . Put a dash of sodium bicarbonate in it and it sizzles .

true a person with gout has to be careful with citrus fruits while managing gout, however, not all citrus is the same. Lemons for instance help to alkalize the body pH levels. Oranges can be consumemd for vitamin c to help flush uric acid.

A lot of experts are against using BANANA & LEMON and all furits with lots of FRUCTOSE though some supprt it making it TOO CONFUSING whether to eat them or not? The same goes for RICE 🍚 and Green Gram Beans (Moong in Hindi or Cherupayar) all other lentils are not advised too. So can you clarify if there is some SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE in what you say and what others (Doctors only) say?

Compress with rasped ginger aplyed local on jour skin (joint) keep for 3 hours not long over the night otherwise will brun the skin and gives you blisters. USE also castor oil after ginger compress. You can alternate between this two. Remove the pain.

Banana, not very ripe, but about to ripen, is good for diabetes because it detoxifies. Same thing, watermelon is good for diabetes, but eat only one slice. It is the glycemic load that count, not glycemic index. If I eat a whole ripe banana, it will spike my blood sugar. But if I eat half of just barely ripe one, it is good for my blood sugar.

@@tysons8759for some ppl with gout, diatbetes is linked to it. I am one of those ppl. Bananas, watermelon and pineapples for example have to be consumed in moderation. Due to the sugar content which influences uric acid levels.
