Wild pigs have been listed as one of the top 100 worst exotic invasive species in the world. In 2007, researchers estimated that each wild pig carried an associated (damage plus control) cost of $300 per year, and at an estimated 5 million wild pigs in the population at the time, Americans spent over $1.5 billion annually in damages and control costs. Assuming that the cost-per-wild pig estimate has remained constant, the annual costs associated with wild pigs in the United States are likely closer to $2.1 billion today.

As a hunter, I was thinking, "This is not a good way to hunt. Very unethical.", but as someone who also understands these are an invasive species that need controlled, I thought, "How can I sign up to do this?".

The barrel on his shotgun I believe is only 14.5". It's possible that the velocity drop out of a shorter barrel like that is playing a factor on those bigger tougher pigs.

I'm absolutely amazed at how the Hogs group up and how they can be manipulated to stay together. I'm in the Great Lakes region and we have a Coyote infestation. I have encountered multiple packs of coyote coming in at the same time. It's pure pandemonium when this happens. (Which is very seldom) The last time this happened I was running Night Vision and not thermal. It was so hard to keep focus on a single "Song Dog" cause they were all running in every direction. Needless to say I actually managed to get 3 of the 11 yotes. I was thankful to get that many after experiencing that "CLUSTER"....

My ancesters, like great grandparents era and I'm 62, used to talk about going out on horse back hunting feral pig. That's how they raised them instead of a pen--just let them go and hunt them later. I do believe this was common practice and thus the reason we have the feral pig issue we have today.

I’d like a thermal that I can helmet mount and clip on weapon mount! Not interested in one that records! Any suggestions?

No helmet mounted thermal is truly a clipon. A real clipon will start at around $13k the nox 18 is the best helmet mounted thermal it doubles as a 1x thermal weapon sight. And will work just as well at being a clipon that any of the other non clipons will do.

love it! between 40-50 seconds you are shooting? a huge hog did not see him go down. Did he? if yes, how big was he? Dont think I saw any blood anywhere. Are you editing that out? What do you think the max range is- on a medium to large hog for these slugs? Do you like slugs as much as etc?

I used a different program this time. Normally i could tell you exactly how slow it is. This time I can only say was it was filmed in 4k at 120fps slowed down 2x.

I would definitely invest in 360’ lighting from Rigid industries. Driving/spot combo or just driving light bars are absolutely insane and turn night into day. I have a 40” E series drive/spot that has been beyond helpful for the last 9 years.
