Its very green, very herbacious, rooty, earthy. It is ideal for marches with family in the Alps or any other mountains during summer. It does not lay upon the scents that are already in the air, like grassy, young delicate herbs, cow dung, and of course la gentiane, which has not really an intense scent. But to these already present scents Eau de gentiane blanche adds and underlines the greenyness. That is very subtle. For men, women, children, who love to be in nature, outdoorsy.

I really appreciate how eclectic your lists are. And your thoughtful content in general! I just got a bottle of Synthetic Jungle last week and I’m loving it. I’ve always loved green scents, so this was an easy sell on me. But I can definitely see how it was not universally loved. Which is fine. Selfishly, I don’t want lots of people wearing it! I need to find a source for Heeley samples or just retail. I feel like there are so many I’d enjoy but have never smelled a single one.

Thank you Dave! you are too kind. Synthetic Jungle is one of the best Green Scents in recent years. Really enjoy it. Heeley provide samples on their official site I think. Worth checking out.

Chanel Les Exclusifs Bel Respiro is sooo beautiful and no. 19 is so green and seriously ethereal. Frederic Malle Synthetic Jungle is just a modern wow how they gave a twist to Galbanum.

@@ScentZatura Dear Sir, excellent reviewer and a brave one too. Me not so into leather and oud. Lol I did not like the Hermes h24 edt or edp. Maybe is it the Ambroxan to amp up the fragrance. What is the chemical scent they use, do you know? Please educate. Thank you.

Hahaha... Yeah, they are not for everyone. One chemical they have openly mentioned is Scalrene from clary sage. But I sm not sure what else is in there. A good amount of synthetics for sure. Thanks!

@@ScentZatura you are absolutely right. Hermes h24 edp and edt both used sclarene. I suspect bdk saint Honore, rosendo mateu 5, bdk velvet Tonka, and Marly Perseus do use this chemical. These are head ache inducing frags. Sir, super well informed and very impressed. Thanks so much. 😊

Great list Pradeep. I still believe Dior Homme is the best designer release of this century. Might be the best release period (Niche included).

Wonderful selections. I'm curious about the new H24 Herbes Vives. Heeley's Cardinal was one of my first "niche" purchases - I rarely wear it, but I think it is a gem of a fragrance... soapy, aldehydic, fresh, sweet incense.

Excellent list. I rather liked Herbes Vives in the shop and will be going back to it. My big Spring one and SOTD was sat in the background! Apres L'Ondee

Great list! I no love all you talked about ! Dior Homme…it’s sort of my favorite leather …it’s a sexy perfume but I find it fitting for both men and women…it’s great stuff.

Not anymore unfortunately. They have completely removed it from their range including Vetiver, Cuir Cannage, Patchouli Impériale and Mitzah.

Thank you Collette🙏🏻 You are too kind. Lovely Selections. I have been particularly interested in Eau de Gentiane Blanche recently as it's supposedly discontinued in some markets and found it rather beautiful on revisiting it
