Very sorry to hear about your loss of a Big Brother. In eastern countries we say Big brother is like another Father and will take his responsibility if he is not there! And Big sister is like a Mom , will rise to the occasion if Mother is not there temporarily or Permanently - there have been cases that they stopped their own education so that they can take care of the household duties so that their younger siblings can study There have been cases they even go to work in other peoples houses to do the housework and earn money- they don’t buy clothes for themselves for want of money but borrow money for getting them clothes!! Most house hold who are poor the elder parents or Siblings go with out food but make sure their younger ones and invalid parents have them In India the people have the habit of giving food enough for one person to the lady or man working in the house as a helper in any field- cooking, house keeping, gardener , clothes cleaning and ironing man women!! They will be given some thing to eat whenever they come for work Some in the morning as breakfast’s or in the afternoon as lunch or evening as tea and biscuits ; late evening into night dinner!! All because the poor, needy people are coming to your and do the services and hence considering them as God or God sent, they give them food so that because of hunger they may not suffer!! I 100% agree 😊👍. My boys are 30, 29 & 15. So there's a big age gap between the last & middle son. Our oldest was beyond excited for more family always. The middle son acted like this sweet, young boy. He wanted a baby brother SO badly, then after 14 years, he got one. They are all super close despite the age difference. So this one got me good 🥹😭😊💕

I cried happy tears when I found out at 9 that I was gonna be a big sis. I was super overwhelmed. My 10 year old brother wasn't as happy tho.😅

Too bad it will probably actually hurt him when he wants to date. Being sensitive and loving is what women say they want but that's not what I see. No. It is his personality. The same mother might have a problem child. Maybe he is the problem child. Parents are not the makers of a child. Kids are still their own people, not just trained dogs.

Same here. I now have an almost 2 yr old and I’m about to make him a big brother. They will be 26 months apart and I hope it’ll make them the best of friends because all I wanted was a sibling. I had a little brother from my dads second marriage but he was 7yrs younger than me and my father never let us see eachother. Thank god we are close now😊

I was adopted and raised an only child. I always wanted 2 little sisters. Specifically that since I was able to talk. Well I guess God listened, because I later on found out when I was 23 that I had 2 little 1/2 sisters. I cried like this. Despite the missed years, I was so happy. We consider and treat each other as full-blood sisters. I'm 27 now and they are 19 and 20 (Irish twins actually). We keep in touch all of the time and meeting them was so natural and there was such a bond. I am so sorry that it never was like this for you. I believe everything happens for a reason. Despite the fact that I had them the entire time without knowing, I still didn't have a childhood with them, and being an only child was lonely. My parents had 3 miscarriages before adopting me. 2 boys and 1 girl. They were marked as completely unable to carry a pregnancy, and I was so lucky to be adopted into a loving home. I know they considered adoption again for a sibling when I was really young, but the process is just so hard. My process had complications and it really took a toll on them. So they decided that it was just going to be me.

Same. I can't tell you how many times I cried as a child because I so badly wanted a sibling. Once I even begged my mom to sponsor a child from Africa because I thought it meant they'd come live with us 💀

I could but I also reacted similarily to getting a sibling. But if life hits you withvan ugly stick like it has to me sadly I'll probably never be a daddy. Women don't date guys like this based on personality alone and certainly if that is what they show others. The guys who get women seem to be assholes who don't want kids... Women just go for the handsome meatheads and hope they can "change" him to be like this. Thousands of guys are emotional and loving but are seen through like glass because they are not handsome or do something weirdly unique or rare like kite surfers or the occasional ugly actor who is funny or something
