The mod's concept is flawed. If you are interested in politics and economics, play Victoria, not a game meant to simulate the largest-scale conflict in human history. The Iron Curtain mod suffers from similar issues. There are a few minor conflicts like Vietnam and Korea, but every country is somehow "outdated" and "undergoing rework," making it quite boring.

I think you were a bit too harsh on the mod, it's decent for a first release. I've been playing HOI4 long enough to remember when mods like Millennium Dawn, TNO and Old World Blues first released and had barely anything to do in them outside a few focus trees for "main" nations. The mod will definitely be much better in the future.

@@Lady_Evelyn Führerreich started development in 2016, and its steam page was made in 2019 (assuming that it finished proper development and was playable in 2019). It was basically a six-year continuous development until the devs gave up. Kalterkrieg cannot be like Führerreich, because some of their devs are also devs from Kaiserreich. The mod had a six-year development and are extremely proud that they released the mod at an early but playable stage. They have already received hotfixes and their devs are extremely motivated, just like Kaiserreich, so I don't see the mod going down the path of becoming abandoned.

You was very harsh on the mod. There are some events in which you can go to war with Accords and with Russia or together but you decided to reduce the tension. Proxy wars can be fought in many countries, Morocco, Algeria, Bulgaria, Syria, China, South America but you seem to have ignored it. Yes, there are some errors and complications, but you should not blame it because it is a new and fresh mod. I think the mod should: Improve the legislative system. Improve the system of dominance during the Cold War. Add a super-events in order to know what is important and what is not. Add a proxy wars system.

You missed literally all the proxy wars, the World Tension menu can show you lots, Its a COLD war mod so expect proxy war and not much of actual wars, like TNO.

Patience is pretty key, and the mod looks great so far so I'd say your point is pretty moot. Daily reminder, it took 30 minute lunch break sessions to program and create Mount and Blade Warband for 3 dudes. Lots of them. Eventually the game came out complete and fun to play. Once again patience is key, and no money is going through this so it's not like you lose anything by waiting either.

i mean it is a first release. Also exactly like TNO, if you take the time and care (granted, it does take a very long time but for TNO especially it's worth it) then you'll understand the decisions, what they do, what their purpose is and how to successfully do what you want to with them. though, of course, TNO-style mods aren't for everyone

Im the writer for the 1951 naval crisis, if you stay, canada will get options on how to react with the sub. It can go from very chill to cold war turned hot depending on the player and ai choices. (Pretty sure you can also set the ai to make it go hot in the game options when you launch.) Spoilers behind this: Just a preword, i worked really hard on this event chain and had a ton of fun writing it. Tbh i figured the usual politics of the game might get old so i wanted to throw in some tense action regardless of if ww3 actually comes of it. My actual inspiration for the chain was the plot of red october. Enough rambling, here is my fav outcomr to play: If the sub stays, canada will have some options to deal with the sub, if they choose to use signal charges, you as the germans can either attempt to flee or surface. If you surface the canadians will discover you are german which will cause a massive uproar. From that, the canadians can either let you go and gain a smaller win, or the commander can go full crazy and board the submarine and capture the crew. At that point a full crisis occurs with the accord literally holding a german crew in custody and canada sends an ultimatum to germany stating that germany must comply to have the crew and sub released. Germany is allowed to comply or send a counter ultimatum demanding canada apologise and return the sub and basically they go back and forth each raising the stakes til either one gives in or ww3 kicks off. HOWEVER, from what ive seen from other videos, my event chain as i wrote it hasnt been coded properly in the game. I expect itll be fixed but i currently am not active so i cant do much in seeing it properly implemented

I didn't get the event with the Navak exercises in the Atlantic. But you can escalate into a war when they do naval exercuses in the North Sea. So probably the same in the Atlantic.

@@colonelcamTbh I think you got unlucky. There are multiple ways for the third world war to start, and I’m pretty sure u managed to miss every single one of them. Also, if you waited long enough then the Third American Civil War would have happened and you can escalate that conflict into ww3 by sending them weapons/other things that would raise the tension tab in the decisions menu. TLDR, you got unlucky in this campaign by somehow missing every single opportunity to start a world war. (And also should have waited longer for the previously mentioned 3ACW to fire. But I don’t blame you for not knowing any of this since it seems like this is your first time playing this mod.) (P.S. I hope you don’t judge a mod too quickly again since you are getting a lot of backlash in the comments) (P.S x2 Please read my yapping session 😭😭😭)

Bro, I'm sorry, no, actually, YOU should be! The Kaiserreich didn't have REPUBLICS! It was had MONARCHIES: free cities, duchies, grand duchies, principalities and kingdoms. The most powerful monarchy in the Kaiserreich was the Kingdom of Prussia, whose King was from the House of Hohenzollern and also held the title of German Emperor. Not Emperor of Germany, but German Emperor. It was a sort of first-among-equals title. The Kaiserreich was also federative, like Australia. Prussia was like NSW, Bavaria was like Victoria, etc.

I find the mod cool, I don't think your 'there NEEDS to be a WAR 😤😤😤' attitude works since it's a cold war mod (don't let this man get his hands on Iron Curtain, he would immediately declare on the Soviets as the USA😭) I do think that the mod lacks interesting content, as it has no proxy wars or crises for the player to engage in and feel on edge (TNO does it great, for example), and instead it feels extremely dry. Edit: Also, you can just make the presidential elections in the AUS not happen by not having a majority of delegates for any candidate, softlocking yourself out of the whole game
