A couple months ago a friend of mine bought this wheeler for his daughter. In my last video of it we determined it needed an engine rebuild. here is the rebuild and startup. enjoy

Hey guy's..finally back with couple ?'s installing piston and top of this Namura has an EX> I assume that faces exhaust out towards front of machine? ...also did you use any oil on piston or just install dry? Thanx and yep ur right don't spill your beer :)
@fitzsfixes6 жыл бұрын
Highpinesnow yes put that towards the exhaust port. And yes use oil to install. It'll just smoke a touch more at start up.

Hey...firing this thing up tomorrow friend said use pre-mix of 1quart oil to 5 gal gas for break -in ...sound O.K?...or how much oil for a 5 gal jug would you use..Thanx so much...can't wait... :)
@fitzsfixes6 жыл бұрын
Highpinesnow sounds good. It'll probably be rich, but a little smoke and a fouled plug or 2 is better then a locked up engine. You'll be fine. Let me know how it runs. Good luck

do you have a resource on how the vacuum lines for that carburetor are supposed to be??? thanks!

Happy Friday...putting this thing together..what did U use to lube the wrist pin bearing and I assume since a 2 stroke theres no oil to change in crankcase..it's lubed with gas/oil fuel mixture..U've been so helpful Thanx Man..keep you posted
@fitzsfixes6 жыл бұрын
Highpinesnow thank you! I used assembly lube on the wrist pin. The machine is oil injected, but we didn't trust it, so we used premix. Thanks for watching. Good luck! Tell me how it went

So how long do these 250 engines last. I just bought an '06 trailblazer. This machine is mint. Everything is original. I've built 2stroke engines before but this one I'm not positive about. It barely has any smoke. All my other 2S smoke. But you can smell it in the air and on clothes. Is this the norm for this engine?
@dylanhartz84736 жыл бұрын
i've had a trailblazer 250 for 15 years, they don't smoke a whole lot compared to other 2 strokes but it should smoke a little, if it stops smoking completely your oil pump failed, its mounted on the back of the crank case and it pumps oil from the front reservoir to the jet in the carburetor, my trailblazer has been running strong, the only problem i ever had was a blown head gasket which was my fault for overheating the damn thing, lately i shoot about 1 oz of oil for every gallon of gas i give her on top of the oil from the reservoir, just a precaution i take because its old and i don't want to seize it up if the oil pump happens to fail when i'm out in the woods

how did you make the decision on what size rings to use? Did the head need any honing? Was the piston replacement a stock polaris or did you use an aftermarket like Wiseco? Any idea how many hours were on the top end prior to rebuild?
@grandcrappy Жыл бұрын
Letting a motor warm up to operating temperature, especially air cooled, can double or triple top end life. This allows gradual instead of sudden expansion, less chance to score piston.
@lorettacaputo6997 Жыл бұрын
@@grandcrappy My water cooled atv / 2 stroke always idles about a minute or more prior to operating. I babe all my equiptment.....that's one reason it lasts so long.

Hey guy's..Still around? I hope...Excellent Video!!..Same prob with my 2002 Tblazer checked compression this morn and it's at 45psi..everything tore down..head off..But Please..what the hell did you use for the bottom bolts on the jug?? It's a 14mm but an open end ain't break'n em...no sockets gonna squeeze in there..just curious what you used..Thanx..Highpines

Highpinesnow I used an open end wrench. It wasn't stuck. Sorry you're having issues with yours. Try to heat just the nut with propane or map gas. Then spray penetrating oil on it AFTER you turn off the flame. It should crack loose. Good luck
@fitzsfixes6 жыл бұрын
If the threads aren't boogered up, the heat will work. Hold the torch on just the nut for 30-40 seconds.

@@HorsepowerHouse the clutch cover does not need to be installed. The clutch itself for that matter, doesn't either. Just fire it up.
