I chatted to Mads and he advised me that android phones will need the mic they are making , which I mentioned. But you can use it for iPhone too, when it comes out, which I also said.

The standard of your videos is improving all the time. The content has always been brilliant; user friendly, professional, fun and informative, but you have taken it to another level with your video production recently. Really well done. Keep up the great work and please keep the content coming. If you ever get the chance to have the Lyngdorf TDAI 1120, I would be interested to know your comparison of the Room Perfect versus the Buchardts.

I think a good Greetings from Germany! would be with the Lyngdorf TDAI1120. Both with built-in Room correction, both around the same price point. Great video, love your humour.

Visually looks similar to Musical Fidelity kit to me, large central volume control. I may not always like the kit you review, however your videos are always first class.

One suggestion.. MiniDSP UMIK-1 with apple adapter into an iPhone. I've done this for room calibration and it works nicely with Room EQ Wizard or something like the older Audiotools app. Might work well in this instance.

that's a smart looking amplifier there Simon. I like the fact it has 2 sub out, which would be ideal for when I get my two REL subs. This is a very clever amp with its room correction software. This could be all the amp you will ever need, simply because you can adjust the sound to suit your needs. Yet again a great review Simon.

Thanks Steve. It is flexible and I really like it and I doubt it could be bought from a hifi shop at this price in the uk 🇬🇧 . Well it couldn’t. I wish more brands did direct selling with a good no obligation returns policy.

I am looking for an amp to power the wharfedale Linton heretage speakers. I am currently leaning towards the Technics su g700. But I am not sure that's the right one to choose. It's so difficult 🤣

Thanks for the informative review on the I150. I am also looking at their s400mk2 and the Rel T/7x (both, luckily reviewed by you). Question: Were you able to successfully connect the Rel to the I150 high level? I am hoping to connect high level to the Rel by connecting the sub to the S400mk2 terminals - This is better for my living room situation than connecting to the amp. Thanks again.

Been loving your videos! How would you say this paired with the S400 Mk2 is in terms of overall value? Is it sort of on the low end, middling, or category / price range topping? I know of course there's a preference factor with all things audio, but in your opinion. :)

Thank you for this insightful review of the Bucharest I150. You’ve stated that you can shape the sound of this amplifier to your musical tastes. Although in a different price category, would you consider comparing the sound of the Buchardt to a Hegel 190 or 390? BTW, super video work with the Bond theme. the Hegel 390 is not in the same price category, consider

I think the h120 is more comparable but less power so whilst more analogue sounding it might not drive the speakers as well, depending on speakers used. The H390 is defo a step up and I mentioned it and M33 for benchmarking reasons. I’ve not tried 190 yet (I want to try the Hegel pre and power amps and phono stage at some point) but I suspect it’s prob a step up.

I ordered the H190 and the I150 because I couldn't decide. They're both good amps, but in the end I chose the I150 because it just sounds better on my speakers and it's better equipped. As I said, the Hegel is good but I don't quite understand the hype. Are everyone getting paid to praise him or do I just not have golden ears. Ncore just sounds very, very good. This is not a flashy Class D amplifier.

How would you integrate the Buchardt system with the REL sub?

You set the roll off as showed and plug the sub into low level inputs or you do room EQ and or manual EQ. Or you use high level inputs.

No. I ended up buying Atoll SDA 200 integrated amp with streamer built in. Very happy with Atoll sound so far.

Only 1 analogue line input. So how do I connect my FM Tuner and my CD Player without switching over plugs all the time? And I've never owned an Apple phone as I thought that they were over-priced compared with an Android device.

I understand the A500 has 3 active speakers each, the back unit is an active woofer, so 3 drivers vs 2 for the S400ii.

Thanks Ronald for the encouragement and nice comments, we do have a few fish and chips places on that seafront. One called harry ramsdens I think. Just been down to Brighton buying hiking boots funnily enough and we are lucky in this area as we have the fantastic Sussex downs countryside. I’ll take my camera this summer so you guys can see more from where I live. having a play with the Genelec sub now. 🔉😀👍🔉🎼

Genelec sub looks very interesting. I am looking forward to those new Kef LS60’s, would love to see your opinion about those ‘mini-Blades’…. 😄.

Another Great review - your videos are excellent!! Q: is it Black or Dark Gray? If I wanted to use an External DAC- how much would one need to spend to get an improvement? (Mads said it's as good as the Mytek Brooklyn) perhaps I wouldn't need to upgrade? Are the digital inputs adequate for an upgrades external DAC - is USB is a better sounding connection or is it just spitting hairs.... Thank you!!

I think from memory there isn’t an internal phono stage but the amp will digitise the line input as I think I said, but best check Buchardt website. 😀👍

Thanks so much. China should never be a reason or class d , I don’t understand how anyone can equate that. Some of the British stuff “can” be lesser made than Chinese eg holo audio . Wrong thinking I’m afraid. Also the power board is Dutch , design danish, software danish. It’s a whole supply chain. Rarely is a circuit board not Chinese made for economies of scale. You’ll end up buying the wrong stuff with that thinking

Of course my iPhone is made in china cause I had no choice. For audio we have still alternatives and I hope nonchinese market will be growing :) RME, Rose, Genelec, Shiit, Atoll, Cyrus…
