Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Lawmakers and members of the firearms industry reacted to a recently introduced bill in the State Senate that seeks to combat the rise of Glock switches by prohibiting the sale of convertible firearms.
Special Agent Sean Martineck of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms demonstrated the use of a modified pistol with a Glock switch, or conversion device, firing a burst of rounds in seconds.
"When they're used in the streets, they're not shooting like I did," said Martineck. "They're not really aiming. They're just pulling the trigger and bullets are flying everywhere and what we're seeing is innocent people just trying to live their life are getting caught up in this violent crime."
