14 Albandeira Beach

Albandeira Beach has a special place in my heart, maybe because it was the turning point every day for my stand up paddle tours. Maybe because it just is a stunning little gem of a beach with a massive natural rock arch, incredible cracks joining the two sections of beach, a natural jacuzzi and an island?
It's the perfect spot and is slightly more difficult to get to than the easier Benagil or Marinha beaches, being a little more off the beaten track.
If you're paddling along the coast you will definitely not miss that massive natural rock arch. It will be a sad day when that plunges into the water.

Stayed in albuferia 16 years ago loved it by cardiac hill to get to beach on corner of main drag then rented a car did daily trips beaches out door markets then one day drove to rock of giberalter great trip loved free intertainment in bars food cheap drinks to mall or shopping mall thanks for sharing

The rock formations, tunnels and cliffs are really spectacular along the Algarve Coast! It is just so much more interesting than a plain, flat beach, carpeted with hordes of tourists. Also, love the sand, as some nice European coastal locales have stony beaches. Nice to have many good choices, all within a 30 minute or so drive.

Absolutely Jim, it's a stunning coastline and I have appreciated it so much more since I started paddle boarding. It's an incredible coast to explore.
