Күн бұрынCanons EOS R has helped me reduce the amount of photos I need to take in order to NAIL EXPOSURE because of all its great features. I am going to share with you exactly what I do and highly recommend you set your camera settings to in order to achieve the same results.
The mirrorless EOS R is a little magic box despite its unimpressive specs. The 30.3 megapixel sensor and the razor sharp RF glass are a perfect combination but if you are blowing out your Highlights and underexposing the shadows you will not be getting everything from the EOS R that you should. Canon has really nailed what it takes to create a wonderful and seamless experience for the user. For you after this video it means never missing exposure again.
We will be talking about how to adjust your setting inside the EOS R to create a better user experience from the screen lights, shooting raw, all the way to using histograms like you never where able to on a normal DLSR camera.

Nice vid. Just a heads up, for us geeks who wonder if Canon's got NEW EOS line, you often pronounce EOS (ok) and then you add 'O' (like double O seven) before saying R. Whew, I already have this camera!

What do you press to get the exposure compensation to work?

For perfect exposure I shoot in manual mode and use a Sekonic light meter. Its inexpensive insurance for proper exposure setting.

Great video. I have a question in M Mode can you change the expo compensation without affecting the shutter speed? If so how? Thank you.

@@DanielWhiteWithCanon Hey Dan. Thanks for the quick response. No I am in M. I have EXPO comp as the star button in the back. When I hold it and turn the dial nothing happens. It say hold the btn and turn the front wheel.

Another thing that would punch up the videos is the Zoom H1n and it comes with a rode lav mic. It definitely will produce better sound for your videos as well as a run and gun mic for interviews or blogging. And it's in the budget range of less than $120. It definitely produces higher grade sound quality as you can control the highs and lows. yes some people don't like it because you have to sync it up in post, but I've noticed a million times better sound quality over any shotgun mic.

Kenneth Matusiak yea there are much better ways to get the best image and sound but for me shoot, creating and editing all the content every day removing as many steps as possible is a huge must. But I hear you!

Its an amazing camera. Or is it just a stepping stone for a new replacement? With canons rumored EOS r5 coming to light in a few weeks. Should one still buy the EOS R still?

Kenneth Matusiak great question! It being replaced by a new camera is a great thing. It means there will suddenly be a lot more second hand EOS R on the market to pick up at great prices!

@@DanielWhiteWithCanon That's what I hope Happens or at least Jared Polin and Tony Northrup seem to think will happen also. But I can't see it lowering much as the new eos r5 will probably have a $5k price tag.

400 is the R’s native ISO?? That’s crazy! I have been shooting at 100 for almost a year now

400 ISO is native for Clog. For normal video and photos 100 is native.
