@@bilbpbane Me and a buddy were at his house watching TV and some person on the screen was eating a strawberry. I don't really care for them, but it looked good and I asked if, by chance, he had any strawberries in the house. He almost laughed at me, we were two 20-year olds with a higher chance of beer or mac & cheese or Fruit Loops than strawberries. About twenty minutes later, there's a knock at the door and he goes to answer it. He yells out to me to come see something. His mom is standing at the door with one of those low-cut boxes with a bunch of strawberries. he said, "Tell [Kass] what you said!" She looks a little strange and says, "I was driving home and there was a guy selling strawberries out of the back of his truck and I thought, "I bet David and his friends would like some strawberries..." My buddy says, "Well, you blew it. We all have one wish and you wasted yours on strawberries."

@@bilbpbane My dad passed away in 1992. Among other things I inherited a 1980 Chevy LUV pickup. It may have been through ignorance but I had looked high and low for 4 bolts that needed replaced on the U joint. They were special And shouldered . I stopped everywhere looking for these bolts. Chevy nor Izusu had them. I was at my wits end as I had been looking for two months . One day a buddy of mine and me stopped at a hamburger joint that had a parts store next to it. We got out and I said I am gonna check this parts store and i had one the bolts in my hand . As we were walking to the store , a guy that I can only describe that looked like the Jesus your grandmother had a picture of on her wall walked by us and said howdy or something . But here is what freaked me out . He said, those look like they are U joint bolts for a Chevy LUV pickup . I bet you are having a heck of a time (yes he said heck) finding them . Come over here I think I have some in my truck . He walked over to his truck looked in a 5 gallon bucket and handed me 4 perfect bolts exactly like I needed. My jaw dropped. I tried to pay him or buy him a hamburger and he said no , just help someone else out if you get the chance . That was 28 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday EDIT: Thanks for the awards and all but thanks for the replies . I swear this is a true story and happened just like I said. I don’t talk as much to the guy that was with me that day but he always asks if I have ran into JC lately .

Not sure if this has been said in a previous video, but I love how the Rito's vases and other objects have angular sides. This is to prevent them from rolling around and falling off the high walkways of the village. I forget its name, but there's at least one real-life species of bird that roosts on cliffs and lays elongated, almost cone-shaped eggs for the same reason: instead of rolling away, they just roll in a tight circle.

Great video, but fact number 7 is missing something. If you have both rods in your inventory and show the less powerful to the korok (the one which reward you with 100 rupees) the korok tells you that you have something better in your inventary and asks you to show him the more powerful (rewarded with 300 rupees). Koroks take care of Link even at this point, it is both cute and interesting that this fialogue option even exist, in my opinion. I learned it in Wolf Link channel, just in case someone is wondering that.

Guardian weapons have floating parts of their blades (which aren't physically connected to other parts or their hilts), but the weapons designed by Robby only have them actually connected to hilt. this may be the reason why Robby's weapons so much more durable than older analogs, but also shows that Robby still has plenty of things to examine about ancient technologies Sorry for my bad English D:

After I beat the game the first time, I started a new file with the (at the time) brand new Master Mode. I imposed a TON of rules on myself. No fast travel, minimum paragliding, 3 hearts only, (except to grab the Master Sword, but I used the statue in Hateno to immediately get rid of the hearts), one-handed weapons only, I had to wear the Champion's Tunic as soon as I got it, pro HUD mode, no activating Shiekah Towers, no inventory mid-combat, and a couple other smaller rules as well. Not only was it challenging, but it felt like I was playing the game the "canonical" way--no scarfing down food and teleporting all over the place. Just Link being Hyrule's greatest warrior and going on a classic Zelda journey. While doing this, it also gave me a MASSIVE appreciation for the world. Learning all the different paths and roads, interacting with more NPCs, finding secrets everywhere I went. Like I had never actually entered the Akkala Region by road and without maps, it took me a while to figure out how to get there (and I had a lot of fun doing it). Honestly highly recommend, it was so fun having to actually learn the world

Yeah, unfortunately I imagine the code from the entire system was probably completely deleted from the game's files before release. Nintendo is really good at trimming their games down (a necessity when your consoles are just a bit weaker than modern standards), so it's not often that they have unused material left in their files.

Despite being a covered surface the surface of the tower could still be more slippery due to the higher moisture content/ humidity in the air. so that basically you have a range of difficulty from easy - normal climbing in dry weather to medium - normal climbing in damp weather to hard - slip climbing in rain

The sheikah from 10000 years ago are no longer at their peak because the kingdom was jealous of their power, as stated by the guy infront of Impa's house. This lead to the Sheikah splitting into Kakariko village formed by those who chose to exile themselves and stay on the goddess' side, and the Yiga clan formed by those who chose to fight back and side with ganon. A really cool detail referencing this lore is at the bottom of the scroll behind impa, this part of their history is drawn out and even the split of the Sheikah is illustrated. Super missable but super cool !

Considering some of the shady things the Sheikah were involved in, having them taken down a peg was probably wise.

So the four races across Hyrule each focus on their own weapon, having their champion’s weapon also be of that type. Would the one-handed sword be for Hylians then, with their traveler, soldier, knight, royal, and royal guard variants? And the Master Sword?

I wonder if they removed the ability to use the Sheikah Sensor in that way because there's so many it wouldn't really help much. Personally I sorta think after you beat the game they should've unlocked the ability to buy maps or something like that to pinpoint the ones you haven't found, as much as I like the fact that the game mostly doesn't fill up the map with tons of icons I think if you're trying to fill out the map 100% it becomes tedious trying to make sure you didn't miss anything.

The fact they actually planned to use the gemstones as a crafting item, only for them to scrap it is really disappointing. I hope they utilize this mechanic and then some for Tears of the Kingdom.
